timmy's poetry - 3. Finding Christmas

Christmas can put us through the wringer. Make us think. Make us cry ...we gotta find it, cuz sometimes it hides ..

Finding Christmas

It’s Christmas time and my soul’s draggin’

Not into all the merriment and cheer

Workin’ at the mission, gladdens my sad heart

Thinking about others brings Christmas near

In helping the lost and hungry; we help ourselves

Your fortunes can change at any turn

Stay strong, and don’t hide too long

Do good, don't let your soul yearn

The Holidays bring out the best in some

In others it’s harder to stay strong

When you’re alone, your family absent

You gotta make yourself sing along

Thanks for reading. Merry Christmas!! If you're down .. there's always a hand here, waiting.

Read this to mum, her response, a soft sighing ... aaaaahh.
Keep Christmas and your birthday too as best fits your soul. Many a fine, good Christian keeps it poorly. With nary a thought beyond their own comforts let alone serving the downtrodden.
