Pictures
In my mind I see pictures of you
They are built from your words
Your humour and light
Though I will never touch you
Part of me is with you always
There is a connection
In my mind I see pictures of you
I pine for what can never be
And I simply love you
Harbour
I may have been adrift on unknown seas
But you saw me there and rescued me
You took my leaking boat and made it strong
Ready again to sail but this time I’m not alone
I’ve misplaced my harbour, my place, my refuge
Near to shore we’ll remain, safe in the shallows
Until the day I find that protected anchor
For You Lot - My Friends
You surrounded me in my sorrow
Raised me up on your shoulders
Kept me company and soothed me
Buoyed my sagging spirit
I love you all more than I can say
Owe you more than this single poem
But i know that you’re going to say
There is no debt but love, for you to pay
