Weekly Wrap Up (Feb. 23 - Mar. 1)

I'm writing this blog on Saturday, so it happens to be World Compliment Day. Now most are reading it on Sunday, so let's pretend it is still Saturday . Now I handed out a lot of personal compliments today, but then @Valkyrie replied and ruined my day! How rude!! I do think I am above her taunts and meaniness, so let me move forward and compliment each and everyone of you that help make GA a great place to be! You may not realize it, but even the smallest things like joining and coming to visit,

Weekly Wrap Up (Feb. 16 - Feb. 22)

Hi everyone! Not sure what happened last week where some said they got two different blogs for the Weekly Wrap-Up, but I didn't. Are you all sure you weren't out late at a pub/bar the night before you got home . Perhaps with Brad and Steve?    Now I know that sports sometimes flies in GA like a lead balloon, but humour me  Over that past week or so, instead of a NHL All-Star Game and break, they got the 4 most represented countries (less Russia) in the NHL, and had a tournament called the 4

What up, guyz?   Don't you like old men that try to talk like they are young? Oh wait, do we have any young people here ? I guess when I think young, I think of like 20 and under, not sure why. Actually I do, I guess I don't consider myself that old. They say you are only as old as you feel. I guess I am older when I get up in the morning and then I'm back to a teenager as the day gets later, watching late night talk shows at night, and then wondering why I feel so old in the morning .

Interesting day I had today   First went to a ringette game on one side of the city. Then off off to a flag football game in the central area of the city. Then to a youngins, U14 hockey game in the south side of the city. Finally a Junior B hockey game outside of the city in a neighbouring city. Two games my team won, two they tied. Now you get to guess which were the ties and the wins . Oh, I did come home after.  I was thinking on my drive home that I need to get traveling. I realize

Weekly Wrap Up (Jan. 25 - Feb. 1)

Oh well, at least February is only 28 days this year I find February the most boring month of the year. We are about to head into the -20 to -30 C or -12 to 18 F this upcoming week  That might be why I hate it. Have to tell my annual February joke too! If you are a farmer, you cannot look at it  No posting it in the chat below either   As I mention the weather, someone I know said I chose to live here . When I thought about it, I came to the realization at the age I am, I have chose

Weekly Wrap Up (Jan. 12 - Jan. 18)

Who's on holidays? Me  Who has nothing really to do on holidays? Me . What should I do on my 2 weeks off? I should do some reading  . Maybe some cleaning  . I'm bored already   What do you all think I should do? I want to fly down to the states and visit Krista but she has a very, very, very long list on how she will kill me if I ever show up . We were discussing why I think she can get a side by side for the family, and I said how else will she get my body out to the back forty and sh

Weekly Wrap Up (Jan. 5 - Jan. 11)

First a disclaimer, I'm tired and none of me editors are around to read the wrap up for me   I hate to say but the first couple of weeks have been terrible for our US friends and neighbours it seems. With LA burning down and the east and southeast getting blasted by ice and snow, I have to say I hope that all of them are okay  I'm sure there is other places too that are having strange and wakey weather too, like Friday we had an actual thunderstorm (rain) and a blizzard Saturday night. Some say it is too late 5 days after, but screw them ! I'm still going to say Happy New Year! Maybe without the fanfare, but on behalf of all of us here at the GA News Blog and GA, we wish all your dreams and hopes come true in 2025 🥳 It must be the sign of my age , but I was sound asleep by 11:30, with no real reason to stay up past midnight . How about yourselves? Did you ring in the New Year with a party, or just maybe yourself and one or two others? Did you have a refreshing alcoholic b

Weekly Update (Dec. 22 - Dec. 28)

Ho Hum   LOL.  Do any of you feel that that the time off between Christmas and New Years can be a bit challenging?  I mean I have visited with family and friends and such over the past week and a bit, but now we have 2 more days before New Years and then things can return to normal  Well, as normal as my life can be .  Geez, not even 100 words in and I'm at 4 emojis already. I must be emotional today 😢.  Okay, enough about me, or so you think. Was this years Christmas profita

Weekly Wrap Up (Dec. 15 - Dec. 21)

So did you celebrate the start of the Winter, or summer, with the solstice yesterday? Did you go to Stonehenge? Maybe you celebrated Soyal, Yalda, Saturnalia, Midwinter, St. Lucia’s Day or Dong Zhi? No matter what you celebrated or where you celebrated it, the days shall get shorter or longer. Me being in the longer side of things, I'm really looking forward to it. This dark from 4:30 pm to 8:30 am can be tiring  But turn that frown upside down, cause if you live in Alaska or places North, you a

Weekly Wrap Up (Dec. 8 - Dec. 14)

So who is counting days?  Only 10 days to the start of Chanukah!!!   Oh. Looking at my calendar it appears that is the same day that is Christmas  this year. If I missed a holiday, let me know. I will put in a mention for Festivus as it seems to have made it onto the North American calendar too! Once again, I apologize if you are not into the whole seasonal talk. You can skip down to the recap  if you want. I will be tackling another Christmas topic now. Last week we tal

Weekly Wrap Up (Dec. 1 - Dec. 7)

"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, my two front teeth..." Does anyone remember this classic Christmas tune? How about some others like Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer, or even the classic Kevin Bloody Wilson song,  . I worked decades in a retail chain and in those decades, after Remembrance Day on November 11 you got 24/7 Christmas songs on the speaker system. I think that is when I developed a dislike for traditional Christmas music   I did develop a

I hope all our American cousins had a great Thanksgiving weekend 🦃 . It is always nice to get together with family and friends over a big feast if you are lucky enough to do so. For those that didn't, we are thinking about you too  Even though I'm not down south of the 49th, I must have been personally feeling everyone's thoughts as I found myself not only undoing one, but yes two of the buttons on my 501's Thursday evening .  Being a late Thanksgiving this year meant that I was able to get

Steve has climbed into his cave and don't wake him up until the end of April.  I think it it is @Slytherin's turn to stay awake this winter   That bear just happens to be the colour of outdoors.  We got dumped on the past week. No road lanes, no sidewalks, no nothing. All buried in snow. It is beautiful if you don't need to go out into it  Also, the temperature dropped into the minus celsius without windchill  Winter is here, I hereby declare. May you all share the wonder of it

So welcome to the first nude GA Blog  Now I am not personally nude myself, at the moment . There is some non negotiable rules to a GA Nude blog: Do not post any picture or like image of yourself or anyone else reading the blog nude  You'll get banned   Do not get nude in front of others unless this is a daily activity   I am not responsible nor is GA if you damage while moving your desktop and monitor to a room where you can get nude. Or            No matter who you prefer, Daffy or Sylvester, they both have what's on my mind! I'm at a loss on what to expect of late. Snow one day and cold temps for 3 or 4 days, then mild summer days (20 C) the next few. Rinse, Repeat and carry on. Luckily the snow tires are on! So, tell me how beautiful it is where you are. Tell me it is sunny and 80 in Florida, or California! Let me dream   Speaking of which, the past two winters I escaped in January to Hawaii. This year,

I do this every year at this time  So, if you are in a area that falls back, you can prove to Cher that you really can turn back time   If you missed turning back, you can go back to bed for an hour. I'll let you  Heck, even if your clock didn't turn back, go back to bed for an hour ! After watching the video though, you might want to watch the Village People singing In the Navy  Who's your favourite sailor ⛵  I am not going to ask anyone about your thoughts of time changes, as th

Weekly Wrap Up (Oct. 20 - Oct. 26)

Sadly I have to admit, Monday was the first day of the fall that it happened  As much as it pains me to admit, I'm going have to use the 4 letter s-word... It was a beautiful weekend but around 9 AM things went downhill. By the next day it was gone, but still not the warmest it has been.  Now I learned back when I was a wee child, if you are at a loss for words you could always bring up, 'How's the weather?', or 'What to you think of this weather?' Because it is late at night even in

Weekly Wrap Up (Oct. 13 - Oct. 19)

Okay, how was your week? Mine kind of sucked, but there is not much to do about it.  So here is what I thought I'd ask. We always hear to control what is in your control and to not fret over for what you don't control. The way I read this is there is a lot of things in the world out of our control, but when negative things happen that are not in our control, it is what you do after that you can make the decisions and control the eventual outcome   Now if I didn't lose you already with

Weekly Wrap Up (Oct. 6 - Oct. 12)

So what did you get up to this week? Once again, my heart goes out to everyone trying to recover from Helene, and now a whole bunch more people dealing with the aftermath of Milton   Now not sure if you know, but there is a lot of exploding going on the surface of the sun. What that means is that the northern US and all of Canada and even Great Britain and Scandinavia are having some pretty spectacular viewing of the Northern Lights (Not to be confused with Steve ). Everyday I see pict

Weekly Wrap Up (Sept. 29 - Oct. 5)

Well it finally happened   After several nights of the temperature dipping down to just above 0C/32F, and me going to bed a bit hotish () in the evening and waking up shivering, I think I got the start of the first cold of the season. Well, not a full blown one. Today was a day that was focused on wearing a couple of layers of sweatpants and sweatshirts and some wool socks. Also my eyeballs are floating a bit with all the water I have drank. The throat isn't that sore anymore, so I might ge

Weekly Wrap Up (Sept .22 - Sept. 28)

Depending on where you live, how many days do you have to get in your entries for the In Too Deep annual Anthology? Calling on Poets, Authors, and even readers to get them in. So how many days do you have to the end of October 1st? 1 days 2 days Oh crap, still not too late but pushing it   I am just back from a relaxing week up in the mountains at the lake where I was having a nice, quiet birthday . I'm refreshed and rejuvenated, got a hair cut today as well. I was going to go f
