December CSR Discussion Day: Hypno-trouble by Palantir

Wow, the last Monday of 2019! And what a CSR Discussion to end it on with Hypno-trouble. Did you happen to read this laugh-out-loud horror of hypnosis? Not sure if it's horrifically embarrassing or hilariously endearing at the way the couples are acting in the story. What did you think? Before you comment, of course, enjoy this interview with Palantir first!  Chocolate or Vanilla? - Chocolate is ok but I'll put myself in the vanilla camp. If you were an animal, what would you be? - If

Weekly Wrap Up (Dec. 22 - Dec. 28)

It appears that the holiday season is starting to wind down. So if you celebrated exchanging gifts, what did you get that made you the most happy? Myself, I got a PS4. Now I'm not an avid gamer at all, but I leaned towards the PS4 as I believe @Myr has an Xbox, and if I got one he would be CONSTANTLY bugging me to play with him in Dora the Explorer, Special Adventures So what did you actually get? I'm curious   Before I forget, I want to wish everyone, your family and friends all the

Author Guess Who #6 - The Reveal

There are so many different holiday's, depending on what you are celebrating. For me, it's Christmas, so I want to wish all of you a very very Merry Christmas. Since I'm not completely versed in all the other holidays, I want to also wish everyone who celebrates a Happy Holiday! Well, it's that time again. There were a lot of great guesses as to who was the featured author this month. Curious if you were one of them? Well, let's see... This month's author was: CassieQ Did you get

Weekly Wrap Up (Dec. 15 - Dec. 21)

It looks like this will be the last weekly update before Christmas 🎅. So what constitutes a white Christmas you ask? In Canada it is 2 cm (.79 inch) of snow on the ground at 7 AM on Christmas Day, the US is 2.5 cm (1 inch) and the UK it is one snowflake observed falling anywhere in the UK . Obviously there is parts of the world that won't see or ever see a white Christmas, mainly most areas of the Southern Hemisphere. I'm also thinking about our friends in Australia that are fighting sever fires

2019 GA Year in Review

As we head into Gay Authors' seventeenth holiday season, and the end of the decade, I wanted to take a few minutes to reflect on our community in this past year. With that in mind, first and foremost, I want to thank all of you for making Gay Authors what it is.  We wouldn't be here without our authors writing stories, our readers reading those stories, and everyone talking together about those stories.  That is the root of our community, and that focus is what we should keep in mind as we

December Classic Author Excerpt: Apple of Her Eye by Ronyx

Did you catch Monday's blog where I featured this month's story by a site Classic Author? Keeping in the mood for family and drama, I couldn't pass up the story Apple of Her Eye by Ronyx. Did you check it out? Have you read it before? What did you think?  This month's excerpt was chosen because I can't help but know just how realistic it is (being the mother of teenagers). The drama and angst, the total horror of a moment that can't be taken back, the feelings of ups and downs... those are

December Classic Author Feature: Apple of Her Eye by Ronyx

This is it, the final Classic Author feature of 2019. I've picked another story that tugs at the heartstrings for this month, one by a currently posting Classic author, Ronyx. A coming out story, one where the choice isn't always made but taken, and the consequences that one teen faces at home is something many of us can relate to--especially at this time of year. Read on to find out just how it turns out!  Length: 22,819 Description:  Gary gets outed at school by his best friend

Author Guess Who #6

Who's ready for another episode of Author Guess Who?  The reveal will happen on Christmas Eve, so you have a couple of weeks to get your guesses in!  Happy guessing!   What is one thing that most GA members might not know about you?   Hmm. Maybe that I used to study Japanese. I have forgotten all but a few words and phrases of it now, but I used to practice on a friend of mine who was from Japan.     What prompted you to write your first story?  Music.  I was listening t

Anyone who doesn't celebrate the Christmas season, unfortunately is going have tolerate us that do for the next 3 weeks 🎅 We had our department Christmas Party at work yesterday and there was about 30 of us all out for a late lunch and a Secret Santa draw. Everyone had a person they were supposed to buy for with a $20 limit. Our department is maybe 60/40 female to male, but it was great to see that everyone put in an effort to get something that reflected the person that they bought for. Bi

Ask an Author 2.0 #26

We were granted a reprieve. I’ve received several questions since last month and Ask an Author will remain a feature for the next couple of months. Of course, that does not mean I am done asking you to submit new queries.   Seems asking several authors the same question’s becoming a thing. I kinda like it, since it allows us to explore different outlooks. Here’s this month’s question, and for the record, it does not matter if it has been asked before. Authors are listed in alphabetical

December CSR Feature: Hypno-trouble by Palantir

Can you believe we're at the last month of 2019 and our final CSR story for the year? I've yet to hear any suggestions from members/readers on what they'd like to see on the first/last Mondays of the month blogs as an alternative... any ideas? In the interim, we have a great story for this month, an oldie but funny from Palantir, Hypno-trouble. Sure, I could have picked a holiday story or something light-hearted, but I totally thought something from the naughty list might be more fun. Enjoy!!

Weekly Wrap Up (Nov. 24 - Nov. 30)

Like in Independence Day....Hello Boys! I'm baaaaaaaack Well, also you gurls, actually everyone! Thank you Renee for taking my place last week So I'm dried out from last weekend, which is a good thing! Last weekend I was at a football game, outdoors and it was hovering around 0C or 32F. Quite pleasant football weather (oh, North American Football I should say). Now this weekend, -30C or -22F, and I'm not enjoying this weather 😠 I'm thinking of all of you in Florida, or Australia or e

Reading History

We have added a new feature on the site... Reading History. This is a special collection that you have to opt-in to use.  It shows you the last 50 stories you've read for 30 days. (stories will drop off the list if they are there over 30 days.  The oldest will drop off if you have more than 50).  The history is not public. Only you and staff can see it.  As you can see from my screen shot, it also shows you the last chapter you've viewed and gives you a link to it. The plus sign

Fall Anthology: Raincheck & Fall From Grace *Set 1* - NOW LIVE

HAPPY THANKSGIVING for those celebrating today. Anybody ready for some new stories?  We have some great offerings for you as part of the 2019 Fall Anthology. Wondering when the anthologies would start to go live? Well, wait no more!  Today we have 4 stories for you to enjoy, and each week I will make another set live. I tried something a little different this time, for those who tend to write longer anthologies. I don't know if it will become a thing, but it never hurts to try something new. Sto
