Song of the moment

Recommended Posts

Heard this song on the way to work in my rotation.  I'm planning on making some considerable changes to my life and these lyrics stuck out in particular:

Am I wrong

For thinking out the box from where I stay?

Am I wrong

For saying that I choose another way?

I ain't trying to do what everybody else doin'

Just 'cause everybody doin' what they all do

If one thing I know, I'll fall but I'll grow

I'm walking down this road of mine, this road that I call home

...

Am I tripping

For having a vision?

My prediction

I'ma be on the top of the world

Walk your walk and don't look back,

Always do what you decide

Don't let them control your life, that's just how I feel oh whoa

Fight for yours and don't let go,

Don't let them compare you, no

Don't worry, you're not alone, that's just how we feel

Not sure if you care about my response, but just be you, AJ, and let your heart guide you.

And I'd give up forever to touch you

cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be

& I don't want to go home right now

& all I can taste is this moment

& all I can breathe is your life...
I just don't want to miss you tonight..:'(

& I don't want the world to see me

'cause I don't think they'd understand...

"Zelda was very beautiful and was tanned a lovely gold colour and her hair was a beautiful dark gold and she was very friendly. Her hawk's eyes were clear and calm. I knew everything was all right and was going to turn out well in the end when she leaned forward and said to me, telling me her great secret, 'Ernest, don't you think Al Jolson is greater than Jesus?'

Nobody thought anything of it at the time. It was only Zelda's secret that she shared with me, as a hawk might share something with a man. But hawks do not share. Scott did not write anything any more that was good until after he knew that she was insane." ~ Ernest Hemingway
