It would probably be the same with pumpkin, but lots of people seemed to like bananas, too. They are good for GF people and diabetics. Oats, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin provide more fibre and complex carbohydrates, while cottage cheese provides more protein. And they are good for skinny boys and girls like me who want a pancake fix! LOL 3

I really like oatmeal, so I’m going to try this one. https://amyshealthybaking.com/blog/2019/02/20/healthy-blueberry-oatmeal-pancakes/ I’ve made some of Amy’s oatmeal recipes and they’re really good, so I’m thinking this one will be as well. 2

They probably are, but that's a large amount of ingredients just for pancakes, at least for me. I'd make a cake with all of those, but for breakfast, no. The blueberry lemon cake recipe you gave me has fewer ingredients. I made it yesterday, and it is super delicious. I will make it again using oranges and cranberries. 1

Popular Post 1brokNangel Posted May 9 Popular Post Posted May 9 I have so many ideas running through my head, trying to separate them so I can start writing again. I really do miss that, it feels like I lost part of myself when my muse disappeared. 😔 😕 😞 1 2 4

I really do miss that, it feels like I lost part of myself when my muse disappeared. 😔 😕 😞 If you miss writing, then you must write—anything. A journal, flash fiction (1000 words or less). It doesn't have to be publishable, but you need to write daily. Write your ideas, what you did yesterday, and what you hope for tomorrow, but write. Use a prompt; don't overthink it. Don't get me started on muses...anything can inspire. Go for a walk, read, read, read. If you want to be an author, you must read...be inspired by what others write, your local park, or a film you saw. Like most other authors, I have lots of opening chapters and paragraphs written that may or may not go anywhere, but they are written down. Write your ideas, keep them, and one day, when you look them over, you may have a story. Learn the art of the short story. Not every idea will be a novel, and short stories are a wonderful thing to learn to do. Challenge yourself. The secret author contest, due in July, requires a minimum word count of 3000, and the anthology is in October. There are two reasons to write something. 2 5

But it's so much fun when she struts back into my brain, tosses her hair, and gives me a good kick in the ass. 4 3

Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted May 12 Author Popular Post Posted May 12 Yesterday, we attended a book launch for a book that is being published posthumously. It was a launch but also a send-off rather than a formal funeral. He and his family were friends, and it was a good way to say farewell to him. He was 96 and believed that writing could extend your life - at ninety, he decided to write a trilogy. The book launched was the 2nd of the three, and the third is written and will be published. He was a real character, a brilliant man and very funny. He would have approved. Today is Mother's Day. To all moms, I hope it's a very nice one. 9
