Little dog takes up more room than my husband. 🤔 Because they insist on stretching out or getting right up next to you to get warm and comfy. Then we get hot and move away from them, but they move right back near us. Oh and nothing says love more than bony paws to your kidneys when they want to stretch. I used to have a Yorkie and she'd run me out of a queen size bed. Dang those small paws hurt! LOL 🐕 2 6
Popular Post kbois Posted August 20, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 20, 2020 I had to laugh at work today. I got a phone call from a home manufacturer letting me know that the trucks that are delivering our new home should be there before noon. Say what? Me: What new home? Her: "Is this Park X in Titusville?" Me: "Noooo, this is Park X in Bradenton" Her: Oh Hell, I dialed the wrong park" 🤣🤣 I could just imagine two semis each hauling half of a double wide manufactured home pulling into the park and finding out they were 200 miles or so off course. As much as we'd love a brand new Palm Harbor home in the community, there's no empty lot to put it on! Luckily the trucks went to the right place. 2 5 1
Site Moderator Popular Post Reader1810 Posted August 20, 2020 Site Moderator Popular Post Posted August 20, 2020 (edited) One thing to be aware of when wearing a mask: make sure you don’t put it on upside down. Went grocery shopping this morning, and put my ask on while sitting in the car. It didn’t feel quite right - top and bottom look about the same, imo - and it was fogging up my glasses. I opened the mirror on the visor to have a better look to determine what the issue was. Sure enough, the Canadian flag on the tag was upside down...oops. It’s amazing how well it fits when it’s the right way round. Edit: The mask itself is solid black. Edited August 20, 2020 by Reader1810 1 6
Popular Post mollyhousemouse Posted August 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 21, 2020 4 down, 1 to go and if it's anything like the preceding days, it'll be a long one not bad, just long and i discovered that one of the reports i pull every Friday has been wrong this whole time so i have to go in and reset the parameters to pull more accurate numbers, that'll be fun but, dinner was a success, the dogs have been fed, and it's mostly quiet in the house while Phil does some research and the boys are playing some kind of card game so i am going to go back to that latest video series and travel across Canada by rail. hope everyone is doing "OK" 6

Impact will be overwhelmingly positive and the paranoia goes back to irrational fears over GMO's [note: if you're eating any modern grain, your are eating what is essentially a GMO]. 4

I totally understand the science behind it. It's actually pretty cool, but still.....if it had been announced in any year other than this one, or any state other than Florida it would seem much more credible. This state does not have the best reputation for good ideas. Just Google 'Florida man' and any date 😆 I hope your mom is doing better Fae. Edited August 21, 2020 by kbois 3

Popular Post MichaelS36 Posted August 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 21, 2020 THIS... is profound... Sometimes meanings are clear, sometimes they are not. People who want to write what they think a poem means, can, but i've written what i feel or see. Because it is mine to do that with. Once it's posted and you read it ... it is yours. That you see or feel differently to me, or other readers doesn't make my work less.. in fact it is more and that is the beauty of art. - tim landon 9

I am only glad I do not have children who need to return to school. I believe this type of sport is not going to be allowed in schools here, thankfully. In fact, Berlin opened it's schools less than two weeks ago and they already report 41 cases in them. 8

Michael Sir i agree with you on this. i was surprised they are even playing. the state had so much pressure from parents. i give this 1 to 2 weeks then it will be shut down. it will take 1 good infection / sick kid and a whole team will be down. some sports can be played non contact golf, tennis, cross country. the sad thing this is just the calm before another outbreak. this fall and winter will be a wild ride. they may not want to but i think another shut down is around the corner. my brother and i have started to get a few of the items we didn’t have like alcohol, bleach and stuff we didn’t have the last time. we may not need it but at least we will have it. 7

Wow ... i cannot believe the difference. Most parents here want more info before letting their kids back. Many wont send them and they have the option to not do so. There will be online learning. Get your flu shot as soon as you can. Michael and i will be getting them asap. 3 4

I absolutely agree. There is no such thing as social distancing in any type of close contact sport. Many (but not all) of the college conferences have canceled their fall season, hoping that it might resume in the spring. Most others have reduced their schedules. Regardless of precautions, school age kids, especially high school and college are not mentally or emotionally mature enough to adhere to the protocols in place to try to keep them safe. I see it in my own kid and damn the consequences to me for being a nagging bitch of a mom, I ride his ass to wear a mask when he goes out. The Univ of N. Carolina has already shuttered the dorms and transitioned to online classes after -surprise!- several cluster outbreaks in dorms. This was after a mere two weeks. I am really grateful that this is the year that I finally don't have a child in the school system. My oldest has one semester left, two courses, both of which are being held online. As much as I will miss the atmosphere and excitement of seeing a game and listening to him and the band get the crowd going, I'm happy he decided not to participate this year. 6

Not sure that's necessary. I go out once a week to the grocery store that's the only time i'm near other people atm. 5
