In a lot of places cycling on the sidewalk is against the law.  Sorry you had a nerve wracking experience.  It can be stressful when you feel too close to such vulnerable people.

Natural ways

1. Diluted apple cider vinegar, once or twice a day

2. peppermint oil-apply a diluted bit of it to the spot

Black tea. Make it as you normally would - though I do make this a little stronger than normal - then put it in the fridge to make it cold. If it’s really strong, pop in an ice cube to speed the chilling process. Use it as a rinse or soak the tip of a napkin for hard to reach cold sore.

Well, Christmas decorations are up at work. I now have glitter all over me. My new boots are rather sparkly. It's a wonder there's any glitter left on the ornaments.

Time to vent (just a tad)

Resident walks into the clubhouse and comes up to the window with his title for me to make a copy of. He's not wearing a mask. Sign on the door clearly states "Masks are required at all times in Clubhouse"

Me: "Please make sure you have a mask on in the clubhouse" (I'm currently not wearing a mask because our office door is shut and I'm the only one there)

Him: "I never wear a mask and I'm not going to. It's my Constitutional right. I'll wear one when I'm dead." (My first thought--"that might be soon")

Me: (watching my tongue flop around on the ground cuz I just bit it off)  "Well , next time please knock on the door and we'll come out to you." 

I copied the title and as soon as he was out the door I grabbed the Lysol and emptied half the effing can into the hallway. What. An. Ass.

How I ever kept my cool I'll never know.

Where does it say that in your Constitution?  And his endless thought of other people's health, and for those who risk their lives to care for us is unbounded. He has impressed me.  You should have sprayed it while he was there.. i know that's in the Constitution.   

What a dick.   Michael says those people should have that tattooed on their forehead. Then when they are taken to the hospital they don't need to be cared for because hey, you believe in the Constitution.

Up where my brother & dad are pretty much NO ONE is following the "wear a mask" rules.  A city councilman had a recall petition set up on him for the mere suggestion the board DISCUSS IF they should issue a city-wide mandate.  Oh - the state governor here -- who has done nothing of substance during this period -- has set up Thursday as a "day of prayer".  😷

i was at Hobby Lobby briefly on Saturday and they physically walked a guy out who wasn't wearing a mask

too bad you couldn't have made him leave and wait outside.

I believe it's an amendment "the right to be a stupid ignorant idiot". Way too many people exercise that right. I like Michael's suggestion.

Oh how I  love when people pull religion into everything! *Insert sarcastic eye rolling* 🙄. I particularly love those who believe that "god" will save them. I wonder if they'd wear a mask if Santa brought them one? 🤔

I wish I could have. I think I'll send an email to upper management and see if it's OK to politely ask someone to leave. I don't think they'd have a problem with it. My boss doesn't want to make waves. I'm pretty much ready to cannonball into the pool of 'get the hell out....now'

I honestly don't understand the resistance. Do these people not wear seat belts? Do they not wash their hands after using the bathroom? Do they cross the street without looking? I'm sure he's not going to get vaccinated either, even though his kids and grandkids and dog are up to date on their shots. My generation still bears the scars from Smallpox vaccines back in the 50s and 60s. Did our parents put up a fuss? Hell no! Did we get Smallpox? Hell no. 

I still remember all the fuss when states started instituting seat belt laws. Nowadays.... it's automatic to buckle up. Do I enjoy the belt cutting across my torso? Not really. Do I wear one all the time? Yes. Why? Because its proven to save lives. 

Such a simple concept.....do something that just might save your life. 

It's not a matter of rights. It's a matter of common sense and common courtesy. Both of which have been thrown out the window.

Here in Ohio we have to wear a mask in any building we enter. No mask No entrance plain and simple.

This reminds me when we were kids in the same time frame 50-60 my parents heard Sally had measles/chicken pox/mumps all the kids went to her house and got what ever disease it was. Problem solved. 
i look for the day when you see “no shirt .. no shoes .. no service” just add “no mask.” 
i wonder how many robberies there are now with everyone wearing a mask. the sad thing is that if you call the Police they won’t do anything about this. The main issue is why is it the  business owner to tell a customer that they need to wear a mask.

You're thinking logically. They're thinking politically. The two rarely meet in agreement. Here's my take, and I think that I've said it before--Your "right" to personal freedom ends at the point where you are jeopardizing my life.

You are to be commended. I wouldn't have been able to hold my tongue and I sure as hell wouldn't have made him a copy of his title.  I would have told him to get the hell out.  But then again, I could get away with it because our office has a strict policy about masks and we've got 100% backing from the owner. 

I hope that tomorrow goes better for you.

Not to change the subject, but I am, of course, changing the subject. I have a question for you all regarding Advent calendar etiquette shall we say. 
 

Is it wrong to open all 25 doors at once, collect the chocolate inside, and then throw away the calendar? 
 

This has been done, and I’m finding this disturbs me to no end. Am I being to sensitive and sentimental? I mean if the point was to give a bunch of chocolates at once, the gift would have been a box of chocolates, right? 🤔

I should clarify, the chocolates aren’t being eaten all at once, but the idea behind how to use an Advent calendar is gone.
