beautiful ... i see myself there because Michael has picked me up more times than i can count and continues to, though i think less and less often now.  thank You Michael and thank You, Sir for not abandoning us ...

 caring and beauty live in these words. may everyone finds someone to help over the stumbles

Sir, this is beautiful. You are understanding to what many of us struggle with. You handle us with love and care.

 Sean is lucky, as well as myself and others. Our Sirs see this insecurity and demon. Building us up every single day with loving and guiding hands.

Sir--

only one who cares deeply would work so hard, and so long to help another overcome these types of deep seated issues

would that everyone could find someone to care like you do

Lovely. I enjoyed the visuals this gave off, of a couple working through problems together. One a strong rock of hope, the other being helped and embolden.

Very beautiful, startlingly direct, and hitting very close to home. One might wish  fervently, deeply to be the object of this poem, for who has not dreamed of redeeming one's faults at least once? 

Mac, in a poem once written for me, tim described me as his anchor and the light in his darkness. .. I'm very much convinced your boy feels the same about you. You are his strength. Your poem is full of love, caring and describes the protection we provide for these boys we love. Wonderful. 

Beautiful...My Mark has been picking me up for years, and every time I try and say sorry he just says he'll always be there to help me go forward. Thank you for sharing Sir

Abandonment is never an option. There's a commitment between both parties: one promises to care and provide guidance, the other promises to listen, learn, and not give up. Thanks for your comments, my boy. I know that you and Mike have this very special relationship.

Sometimes a loving hand is all that's needed to get over the bumps. Other times, it requires harder discipline. Either way, it's done with care. Thanks for your sweet comment on this, moggy.

jp, you know very intimately what this poem means, and I thank you for sharing your thoughts on it. Yes, the goal is to build-up through discipline and care and to promote a healthy life-balance. We can all benefit from such goals. I'm glad Danny provides these things for you, my boy.

Everyone needs someone who deeply cares about their well-being. I provide what I can, where I can. It's important to me. sean deserves no less than that. you, jp, tim, renee, and many others who may not yet be on my radar deserve no less.

It's been said before, but it proves the point, so I'll say it again: a D/s relationship is a symbiotic relationship, which you described perfectly in your comment, A. Working through challenges together is just as crucial as in any other type of relationship.

it is beautiful to see all these relationships. how they are different, how the are the same. it is a rare thing to see in my world.

Parker, nice of you to read this poem and share your thoughts on it. Yes, we've all dreamed of finding redemption for our faults at point or another. It's much harder to forgive ourselves than it is to forgive others. For some, it's a constant battle. We just have to keep working at it.

You are quite right in what you say. The image of the noose is really apt. And it is hard to be self forgiving even if one walks perfectly without a trace of stumble.
