    RIP - Comicality - May 1975 -- April 2024

    By Myr

I have been following Comicality since New Kid in School first showed up on Nifty in 1998.  I started exchanging emails with him that long ago.  We've been online friends since.  When the opportunity arose for me to start Gay Authors in Sep 2002, Comicality was the first author with us.  When we opened the forums at the very end of July in 2003, it only took me a few days to get Comicality on the forums.  Back then he was on a WebTV... He continued to grow and grow as an author branching ou

Hah! and awwwwwwwwwww~

Okay I'm warning you know this is gonna be a little long, but stay with me it'll be sooooooooo worth it   Okay first... I think I told some of you about this but it just got sooooooooooo much better So I bought Rich some jeans for Christmas cause the pairs he has now all have these holes where the back pocket attaches to the rest of the jeans, probably from putting his wallet in and out of it. Anyway, I knew he needed more jeans and he is so easy to shop for because he is really... boring. H

I'm so bored right now ...

I've started a Yahoo group for anyone who wants to receive notification of new chapter postings and/or discuss "Someday Out Of the Blue" (and my other stories when I get around to them ... hehe):   http://groups.yahoo.com/group/littlebuddhatw_stories   The academic conference yesterday was ... interesting. When I went up to the table at the front and sat down where the "discussers" (people who critique the presenters' papers) sit, everyone in the room just stared at me ... obviously shocked

Toward a boring critism of Dom's work

Ok, I'm not trying to be rude, but I think that the topic Magical moments in Dom's Stories...toward a serious critism of Dom's Work is easily the most boring topic I've ever seen on the Domoholic's forum. Maybe I'm not refined enough to be interested, but I have to say that I've never actually started to get drowsy while reading something on this forum.......until I read that topic......ok, sorry. I just had to say something. I think it's a mistake to try to over analyze Dom's work that way. He

My Nose Knows

So I was in the shower the other day when all of a sudden my nose started bleeding. Which really isn't a big deal. Ever since I was a young child I've had nosebleeds when sick. So I mean it doesn't really phase me at all. I hate it because it's messy and gross, but it doesn't upset me at all. Anyway it's been better the last few years and as I said I almost never get them unless I'm sick. And when I do it usually does happen randomly in the shower. I guess it's the heat and humidity, I do

First post - Introductions

The first post is always the worst. Especially because I'm aware that this is relatively public. Yet not. The people that might read this are at the very least of a like mind, and will not be judgemental... I hope. Even if they are, does it matter? It's true that what people say about what you do or write always matters. But not from the RL point of view of outing me. That is one great joy of the internet. Anonymity.   I'd say I'm probably bisexual with a strong leaning towards men. Not that I

Brrrrrr, lumps, and... ugh!

I have a lump! Right on the top of my head and it hurts! A LOT! I was trying to climb into Rich's beep beep car in the dark and I hit my head. SO owwwwwwwwwww! Then... he tried to say that it was the car's way of getting back at me for talking badly about it  Whatever... all I know is it hurts. Then, THEN, he offers to whack the lump back in with a hammer....but I pointed out to him that in cartoons when they do that, the lump just pops out in another place. That I do not need.   My

Stress sucks!

I've finally forced myself to sit down and start writing my research proposal for the Ph.D. program. I'm so burned out from writing, though, so it's hard to sit down and keep on writing even more. My thesis editor has finally gotten her act together (I think) and is working on the final stage of revisions, although I have to re-write a part of my conclusion, which is annoying. It also seems as though competition for getting into the Ph.D. program this year will be more difficult than I had expec

FIRST TO REACH A HUNDRED BLOG ENTRIES!

I am the first to reach a hundred blog entries in a blog. Too bad its an angry one.   I am fuming right now, I just heard some news I really didnt want to hear. A certain supposed friend is spreading rumors about me. He knows who he is and I know he reads here. I am very angry because when he left our group I was the only one to make an effort to talk to him.   I feel like he's stabbing me in the back, but rest assured that I will not be making the mistake of talking to this person again.

One Less Thing To Worry About

So I get to work today and notice that a women I work with, Pam, isn't there. Well I didn't think that was very odd because the last time I worked (on Tuesday, Wednesday was my day off) she was sick. So my boss is there so I greet him and say "So Pam's still sick huh?" and he looks flustered for a second and then responds: "No, I had to let her go. She kept giving Patrick a hard time about being gay.", then he added "but that wasn't the only reason anyway."   So a little background. Patric

Artificial Violence And A Broken Controller!

I had the Liar over tonight against my better judgement mind you. I cooked dinner for him Chaz and I. Chaz has an early morning, or so he said so he went to bed. I stayed up and the Liar and I spoke for a while. The first thing he says is that he is going to move in with my father. Fair enough, I thought. then he starts talking about personal stuff I really didnt want to know about. I let him indulge himself. I had the Liar over tonight against my better judgment mind you. I cooked dinner for h

Strangest places (part 3)

And here's part 3, the last of what's written. Past the end of this (and yeah, it ends in the middle of a scene) there are some sketched out bits, including my first shot at a tender sex scene which really didn't work, but that's about it.   It does kinda peter out and not wrap up properly. I've always had a problem with endings...   And yeah, I'm still arguing with the rich text editor.   Strangest Places   <h1 style="margin-left: 0in; text-indent: 0in;">Scene: Back to school<

A testy situation part 2!

So we decided to go out and meet David's sister tonight. It only took us a few minutes to get to her apartment. David seemed anxious about it all and he nearly turned the car right back around. It pains me to see him in such a vulnerable place. But when we finally saw her he almost ran to her and gave her the biggest hug. I pulled Chaz and Selene away letting David and his sister have that moment alone.   We met her a few minutes later when he brought her over. She really seems like a genuine

Hmm..that's curious..

First of all, a little update on the play...Annie is back on.....Moulton (drama teacher) worked her magic so we get to do it now .   When I found out it was back on, I decided to email Justin...I knew he wouldnt, but just for the hell of it, I asked him if he had changed his mind and if he was gonna try out with me. "nope." I think he's just being an asshole when he says it like that. Would it kill him to say something like, "I know you really would like me to try out with you Ron, but I just

Strangest places (part 2)

Yep, more of the story I'm not gonna finish (I think). Again, more viewpoint shifts and missing sections, so it's mildly but not entirely comprehensible. And I still seem to be freaking the rich text editor widget out.   Strangest Places   <h1>Scene: The kiss in public</h1> [Justin]   It was a nice day. Spring was coming, and the weather'd turned warm early. Tristan and I had met at the park by the library, and were just sort of hanging out.   "So you planning on

A Testy Situation!

So I received a call this morning before school. It was from David's sister. I told her I would go get him but she said she wanted to speak to me. I asked her why she would want to speak to me about her brother considering what his family had done to him. She seemed taken aback by what I had said and then she said that she was sorry about that. I wanted to reach through the phone and beat this woman. I asked her what she wanted from me. She said she wanted to see David, that it had been a long t

A Stronger PrescriptionForTheseRoseColouredGlasses

So I really am an optimist. I mean I pretty much knew that anyway but I suddenly realized how definite it was the other day. See I've been eating alot of grits lately! I love grits! I'm on quite a grit kick. Anyway this is great except I only had three glass bowls, So I pretty much had to wash them often by hand to keep from running out. Which isn't so bad really, I mean I don't mind washing dishes that much; in fact it's one of my favourite "mindless tasks", but still it does get old ya k

Julio

Green is out with Julio right now and I'm freaking. Julio said he had some surprise for Green. I mean for some reason Julio makes me nervous. I know Green would never leave me and that is some comfort but Julio is his ex and he knows him in the same way that I do. The problem is in the fact that I know what I have with him. How can I not be cautious with our relationship when were just trying to just get used to each other. I dont know maybe I am being too honest here. What do you guys think? A

Strangest places (part 1)

Yep, another partially finished draft that I think will go nowhere.   This was the first real gay romance I wrote, done over the course of a month when I was coming out to myself and really working things out in my head. It was therapy of a sort, though it's always a tossup how well that worked. It's got all sorts of problems, the biggest being it switches first-person viewpoints and even throws itself into third person occasionally. Hey, what can I say, I was reading a good chunk of Nifty a

it's official!, I didn't fall off the mountain...

The rumors are all true... I have arrived safely back home... where it's WARM   It snowed all weekend! Damn! It was so cold, and I'm already always cold... 4 hour bus ride Friday night in the rain and snow with a bunch of kids and it was dark so they couldn't even read, although many of them did fall asleep! We finally arrive and get off the bus and unload all the gear and bags. We have a quick meeting and then walk up to where we were supposed to be sleeping. Every girl has to carry

The Shadow Boys Three: HEAVEN OR HELL

The lights went up again. Both Plato and Homer were back on the stage. This time Plato had on white wings and one of those fake halo things. Homer had the same thing on in black without a halo. My boyfriend Chaz finally joins me. He sits next to me and leans his head on my shoulders.
