Wow. It's a schooner.

I'm writing this not so much because I have anything to say, but because if I don't take a break I'm gonna end up curled up in the corner screaming. I'm trying to write this stupid 10 page historical narrative (if you don't know what that is, I still haven't quite figured it out myself) and I have a sneaking suspicion I'm gonna get to page 3 or so and just run out of stuff to say.   Anyway, I told my mom about getting accepted to that school, and she just got mad because it was even farther aw

In their next life, maybe they will be pond scum

I just want to say that I think people who use other people as pawns in head games are the lowest form of life. Especially when they use vulnerable people. There are people like this. They can smell who is useable and who is not. I suspect they spend much of their conscious time sniffing the air

Things keep churning slowly

Real Life's been kind of kicking my ass lately, and I've not been getting nearly the sort of writing done that I'd like. The rewrite of the last two chapters of Yankee, any of Carpe Diem (though at least I've got the background research I need done for that one), Wild Life, What Lies Beneath, any of the little interstitials with Justin and Rob... all just sitting there.   Not that I've been un-busy -- it's been an eventful month, what with having my dog euthanized, the separation, landing a po

Nothing Specific

Well I had a GREAT Easter. I ate so much my pants were tight on Monday but they seem to be back to normal now. Sam got me a pound of my favorite candy that butter toffee that's coated in chocolate and nuts. I've done good though, instead of eating the whole box in one night I've only had two pieces so far! Course I've been kinda busy eating easter leftovers!   I hope I don't offend here but I HATE rap music, more so I hate every damn commercial having rap music in it. Yesterday I even

My Hips Don't Lie

Ok so let's see. Here's a quick recap of what happened over the Easter holidays.   My mom and I went and visited my grandmother and aunt (dad's side of the family). My grandmother decided to give me my graduation present early. Yay! It was a check and it'll really help assuage my financial stress with the move.   Then I found out that my cousin had written this nice little article about romantic love which had gotten accepted and was being circulated in papers all over the country. Thesis editing and itchy legs

What a combo, eh? So my graduate advisor gave back my thesis yesterday, and thankfully there weren't that many corrections to make, mostly just puncutation (English and Chinese use of commas is VERY different) and some word choice. She also didn't think I should leave an extra space between paragraphs. That was about it, though, and she said, "You shouldn't have any problem graduating." We spent about 30 minutes going through the corrections at McDonald's to make sure I could read all of her cor

Easter Sucks

Sometimes going through the motions pretending that I actually believe the stuff written in the new testament becomes so hypocritical it almost overwhelms me. Sort of like pretending to be straight when I'm bisexual. Is my whole life just one big deception?   f**K it. I'm gonna go get stoned.

Speed Skaters

So I've been glued to the TV watching the winter olympics....and I've been watching this controversy in the US men's team. Apparently Hedrick and Shani Davis are about ready to kill each other. I keep trying to figure out which one I like, and who I think is "right" in this situation. I was a big Hedrick fan, because he's good (and hot), but Shani, with his shyness, and barrier-breaking medal, appeals to me as well. Anyone got any insight?

We had sex, but he made love to me first

I sometimes find it funny the way people describe the act of having sex or making love, or some would even say f**king... I guess it comes down to a few factors though; who the two people are and what type of commitment you have to one another, but then... in the end really, it is the same act... maybe it's the amount of emotional feeling you put in to it that makes the difference.   It had been just about two weeks yesterday when we finally got to engage in that same act ourselves. That is a

God or the Girl- GMAFB!

Ok the latest hoop of reality-show cheese to be rolled our way is a huge, reeking pile of crap called God or the Girl. In it, several young men try to decide on whether or not to enter the priesthood.   Can you say very sad closet cases boys and girls?   The Catholic Church, and Christianity in general, has been playing this idiotic head game with gay people for millinia. AND they have the NERVE to be surprised when the immature, sexually confused people that they bring on to be priests yea

Happy Easter (taken from my xanga page)

Happy Easter Ok, so I know I just updated this thing. I messed around and did the same thing on myspace. Anyway, I'm doing really good. I didn't have to work as much this last week as I thought I was gonna have to. But, I did get paid   Besides that, it's back to school for this boy, and I'm actually ready to go back. I felt guilty about not having to wake up and go for some reason. Maybe it's because I have my routine down and I got to break it last week. Either way, I'm glad to be going b

Sunday, bloody Sunday

10am I was dragged from what I vaguely recollect being quite a nice dream by the damn telephone. I'd got to bed around 4am after being suckered into clicking on a pop up ad that took me to a site for laser eye surgery - facinating, but sleep would have been healthier. So I shamble to the phone and it's M my 'soul mate', you know, the one I want to shag senseless but am too frightened to ask.   We were supposed to be at a car boot sale (English 'boot' = US 'trunk') at midday. This basically inv

YAY! But crap!

I got accepted to a law school! *dances around like a fool* The problem is, it's not my first choice (cause I'd have to move to another state), and they want a $200 deposit by May 1. I haven't heard back from my first pick yet, and I wasn't really expecting to by the end of the month, so I guess I'm just gonna have to swallow the $200 just in case. It's really good to know that I at least got in somewhere, though.   Val

Trying my hand at poetry

Ok, so I've started a Poetry Series at the efiction section of this site. and I've been getting some good reviews. I mean, my first poem wasn't that good. It didn't rhyme, so I think people naturally hate it. But my other poems have gotten some good reviews. Of course, that doesn't mean that I'm not writing stories anymore. As a matter fo fact, I'm almost done with chapter 6 of My Jump Off. I'm going out tonight, so I won't get it done until either when I get home tonight or tomorrow. But I pr

Sweetheart is SUCH a good kitty

Well, Sweetheart has had her kittens. I swear she waited until today just to give me the maximum amount of anxiety. I was a wreck worrying about leaving her when she was so very pregnant. Last time she had 4 kittens and one was born dead and the others died about a week later--so I had nightmarish visions of coming home to little corpses.   But I was awoken this morning by the unmistakable sound of a newborn kitten screaming its head off. Seems they always do that. Either they will be b

Saturday night ramblings

The preparations for my move are coming along pretty well. I've managed to pitch some more junk and trash (since I'm such a pack rat), done some cleaning, and tomorrow I'll box up some books to take to the post office on Monday. I'll be sending them via sea, since it's a lot cheaper, and if I send them, they might even be waiting for me when I get home in July. Less than three months left to go now ...   The mosquitoes are still invading full-force, as vicious as ever. I swear, they must be sp

"Making Risky Comittments"

So a little while ago I was taking this personality/interests test online. See a couple of weeks ago (before my epiphany in church ) when I went to see the 2nd counselor she told me I should take this test to better gage my interests, THEN I actually figured out what I wanted to do without taking the test. So not actually having any good reason to take the test I hadn't gotten around to it. But I did pay a fee to sign up for it and I actually kinda like taking tests like that so I figured,

Maybe I'm feeding him too much?

The other night Sam and I were in Price Choper (local grocery store) and for some reason I happened to notice him. *laughs* Well, he is pretty hard to notice since his mouth is usually running and he has a voice that could whisper and be heard in the ozone seats in a stadium. But you know how you see someone every day and then suddenly SEE them? All of a sudden I noticed I was looking at him in a different place. Ok, that sounds strange, I know. What I mean is, when I had looked at him the

TGIF

I drive everyone nuts with my TGIF's. I just love Friday. Well Friday's at four. I always get that euphoric feeling at having two days off! My usual weekend routine is a bit off this weekend because of Easter but I guess I can survive not spending all of Sunday goofing off once in a while. Usually on Sundays I don't even change out of my pajamas. I call it my day of rest, even though I'm in no way a religious person, but I figure everyone deserves a day of rest!   We're going to Sam's mo

Is it worth it? PART 2

I came home a couple of hours ago. Green and the kid were seated on the floor with big headphones listening to music. Green makes me angry some times I will admit. Before he took this kid in he called me and told me he was doing it. He didn't really ask me he just said he was doing it. I know this is his house ultimately but I feel like he and I are a team right now. I think it's great that he can help this kid and I find myself helping the kid too it's just well I would be nice just to be asked
