Hello Folks! How are you all doing on this Sunday? I think it is Sunday everywhere but soon to be Monday in Australia and New Zealand. We do have quite a few members here that are from those two countries and I imagine others that are others just over the international date line too.
So that gets me thinking and that isn't a good thing. I remember this idea was first brought up to me in a Superman movie when I was a kid. What if you could fly faster than the speed of light, and you flew We
On the off chance that anyone reads this, chapter 15 of Knights of Merlin's Keep is still in the works. I got a bit more done recently though I am still a ways off from finishing the chapter. Can't say when I'll have the time to work on it more. Even though spring quarter is my last quarter of school, I have a few real world projects that are eating up my time including writing a reference manual and designing a comprehensive database interface program.
Well, after a lot of tests, the doctors tell me I have GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease... very strong, non-stoppable heartburn). They haven't tried hooking me up with the purple pill (nexium) yet or prevacid (my mother is on that one). I've been prescribed Protonix for the moment and it has cut off the worst part of the acid reflux. So, this is the update of why I've been feeling so shitty lately. On the good news side, I got a 5% raise on my review. This is the most my cheap-ass compan
I've been very sick all week, which is one reason why I've had such a low profile. I'm now somewhat recovered, but I'm still quite tired. I'm about to zip out for a breif trip to the store (my second trip out today). When I get back, I'll be back to reading more. I have been doing some writing, and yes it was on PoD and Psionic Corps 3. I think Psionic Corp 3 is about to get another chapter mostly scrapped. The original chapter 3 has been gutted twice already with its content moved to chap
Without going into any details, I must say that I've been slightly confused by a friend recently. He's been sending out mixed signals, and I'm not sure he's aware of it. If he is aware of it, and he happens to read this, then be up front about whatever it is you want because I'm not going to risk our friendship on doing anything unwanted. You know I'm gay, I don't know if you are.Life has been interesting lately.
I got some updates done to the site. I've added some google search boxes on my site, and Comicality's. I've also changed the front page a little bit to link to some The Sims 2 and it's new sequel.Fun game.Now... I hope to get my reading binge done this weekend which is always followed by a writing binge.
In my continued effort to place a little something here daily, I've got some notes I've been working on. I have a truly huge "To Do" List. Many of the items on it are currently related to either writing or this site. I hope to get to 1) Creating an introduction/help page for Gay Authors2) Creating a guide for adding stories to the story archive.3) creating a guide for ending up listed in the correct group. (Identifying new members and joining the right groups. Authors, editors, etc.) I migh
What in the world makes people work against their own best interest? Two middle managers at my place of employment have been very resistant to needed change in the company. They've both gotten into shouting matches with the President of the company. How stupid can you get?So, now I'm in the position of having to deal with these people, knowing that they are getting ready to can them and post their jobs...
I got the rest of DomLuka's site done tonight. I also managed to sort out my ton of books in my nightstand stack. Today at work was interesting too. Some people are so totally clueless to reality that it is amazing. It's ironic that the person I'm referring to happens to be a left-wing kook politically. It's not surprising.
I did manage to get some work done. I ended up with a balance. I finished some site work, read (or finished) 3 books, and got some time in making my Sims 2 guys do interesting things to each other. Hopefully, I'll be able to maintain a nice mix through the week.I have a few chapters of Sword of Kings to convert for BW and I have to finish DomLuka's new site. Here's a sample:http://domluka.gayauthors.org/desert-index.htmlOh! I also started a new "Wooden" color scheme for the site. I plan on
I've decided that this was the weekend that I would devote into knocking off some of the long standing items on my "To Do" list. This has mostly to do with the site.I have lined up another author to be hosted here :boy:I'll be trying to get his site up and running today. :)Also, I'll be messing around with the Top Site List link engine. Perhaps some other stuff too.
This weekend, I had the pleasure of bringing my cousin (14) to see my university's hockey team. After the game, we crashed at a friend's place. I gave my cousin the couch and I slept on the floor.I woke up first this morning. After awhile, I put on glasses and I ended up watching my cousin sleep. Watching someone young sleep is very peaceful. Any troubles they have melt away. I had an inspiration on one of my stories that I was stuck on. I've worked out a part I was having trouble with.So
Finding the TimeI'd like to retouch on this topic, since we are now in a new year. My "To Do" list is extremely extensive and often is very daunting. This doesn't include an equally oppressive list at work. With the new year starting, I've resolved to try to pare these lists down a bit. I've set some pretty aggressive goals, but accomplishing them ought to put me in a better mood and makes things easier for me to continue onto other things. After I get some of the more physical things out of
Well, after a rough week, I decided to take tomorrow off. Since I had Friday off anyway, this gives me a 4 day weekend. I plan on getting a hell of a lot of stuff done. With any luck, I will.I'm sure it will make a lot of people happy if I can break the bloody logjam on my writing. I have about 4 things on the verge of release that I'd like to kick out the door so that I can focus on other things.I also have a ton of site stuff on my To Do list. I'll try to get some of that done as well.wis

It's been a long time in coming, but I finally got a draft of something, anything, completed.I've had numerous writing blocks for months. I have about 4 stories all on the verge of a release, but I haven't been satisified with anything I've been able to do to them lately. I hope this is the pebble that starts the avalanche. With any luck, I'll have some more done in time. I'm aiming tentatively at Christmas for the release of three different stories. Wish me luck. Perhaps if Dan could spoi
So, I went to my university this weekend to see hockey. At my school, the auxiliary gym is a raised floor between the main gym and the ice arena. Anyway, they were having a wrestling tournament. Normally, I don't notice them... but in this case, two very hot guys were wrestling. The guy in all black skin tight suit turned and faced us, I nearly gasped in surprise. Now, my very straight friend, wrestled for my school during his undergrad. He was standing next to me explaining the various mo
How in the world do we find the time to do things? All told, 11 hours of my day is involved with getting ready for work, driving to or from work or being at work. That leaves 4-5 hours of personal time a day. Subtract 1 hour for dinner cooking and recovering from work. If I'm being a good boy, subtract another hour for exercise. That leaves 2-3 hours a day. Now, I'm usually pretty wiped by the time everything else is done. But I do spend another 1-2 hours working on the site, answering em
I've been a busy beaver. I spent all day Friday writing. Mostly this was on my entry for the Winter Anthology. Today, I spent the entire day working on the site. I streamlined a few things, made the links correct in many areas and put a real effort in to make sure as many pages as possible met coding standards. A few had to be given up for lost for the time being. (The Story archive and any page with lots of stuff from Amazon, are the offenders)I've also managed to catch up on a number of
I'm tired. It seems like I'm always tired. It seems like my life consists mostly of working, reading/writing to escape reality, paying bills, or sleeping. While work is generally okay and occasionally even fun, it seems to occupy way too much of my life. Except those bills keep coming. Granted, I've made one hell of a dent on the debt part, I still feel like I'm a lot further behind than I should be. I mean, I'm 27 and I'm living at home with my parents. I make more money a year than my fat
I often have a very difficult time finding the motivation to write at the same time that I have a free moment to do so. It's really hard to have story ideas , but be at work and not able to write. Or getting home with time to write, but no motivation to do so.Hopefully the perfect storm will develop this weekend and I'll match the two up. I sure have a lot of things rattling around in my head at the moment.
On occasion, old friends, that were very dear to you at one time, drift away. This happens for many reasons, whether you will it or not.Sometimes, the drifting happens because of forces outside your control. I've recently made contact with a friend from the net that had drifted away because of the latter. While it is painful to accept, the reality is, that times and people change. To my friend, if you happen to read this, 381. We might see each other again, later on down the road. Wind to
Caregivers are unsung heroes in many of our societies, oft-times cruelly taken for granted, and offered a fraction of the support they deserve.
Fight the black dogs, I know you will, but also look for help through the times when they drag you down.
All the best - young man!!
