another day

Well there's nothing terribly interesting going on here, but I had to feed my egotistical need to post. I'm still waiting for someone to call me about a job. I had an interview Saturday but the lady seemed terribly concerned that I was too stupid to figure out the cash register, after I told her I'd never had a retail job before. I wasn't very impressed with her either, after I found out that she hadn't even looked at my application before I came in. I don't think I'll be too disappointed if she

derka derka

So, "Team America" is a somewhat funny movie, but not nearly as funny as everyone makes it out to be. There is this kid in my english class who says "derka derka" non stop. I mean honestly, I could understand saying it every once in while, but not every five minutes. That's just annoying.   Lots of biology homework tonight. But that's okay, because I like biology. It's much better than having Okla. History homework.   Speaking of which: I have the gaydar pretty much down to an art. I m

So Tired...

Have you ever been so tired you actually considered purposely contracting a viral disease just so you could stay home and sleep for the next week? Ok, so I didn't consider it for that long, but it was definitely an option for like two minutes.   I'm exhausted because I don't get enough sleep during the week, so I usually go to sleep early on Friday night and then sleep until noon on Saturday. But, last night I had to babaysit this kid (I took extra aderol for him), and I was up until past mi

I feel really lucky to be part of a forum like this one with all kinds of cool people. Im doing really good now. I had to stay the night on Wed because they couldn't really control my bleeding and my breathing was kinda messed up, but I got to come home on Thursday morning. Im sure that the nurses were gla

Two blogs in one night!

Found this on Mag's blog, and just had to post it.   Ten reasons why people oppose gay marriage:   1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.   2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.   3) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-

O come O come Emmanuel

I am getting in the mood for the Christmas very early this year. I actually sang "O come O come Emmanuel" twice today. It's a good song. Everyone at Cross Country thought it was weird that in early Oct. I'm singing about Christmas.   Speaking of Cross Country, I love It! How else would I get to see the object of my affection? It's not enough to just see him walking in and out of the AP english room every day. That's all about him today, though.   I found out today that I made the "A" t

Today's the day

Well, this is it....my surgery's today, and Im hella nervous. I probably wouldn't be, but my dad's all stressed out, and it's stressing me out to(too?). So anyway, Im just gonna go with it...the suckiest part is that Im dying of thirst, but I can't drink anything untill after the surgery.... Anyway, we have to be at Sentara by 9:30, and I don't think we'll be done till late at night. I hope I can eat tonight, because Im gonna make my dad buy me cheesecake and grits...   Wish me luck.....

a little update

Well, this was my second full day with the parents, and it's not too bad so far. My only real complaint is that I'm really tired, because they aren't nocturnal and I'm being forced to completely reverse my sleep schedule. I got something like 12 job applications today that I'm turning in in the morning, and hopefully one of them will pan out. I've got an 'in' at a few of the places, beacuse my mom knows practically everyone in town. One of the very few advantages to being from such a small town.

Emoticons are fun

 That was fun.   I'm in love. With Faith Hill. Just discovered a new song of hers called "stealing kisses". It inspired me to write a story with a similar theme. So I've started on that.   I missed Biology today because I had a race. I am sad. I often times prove my teacher wrong because he ain't so good at the whole Biochemistry thing, and I am. I told him of the difference(s) between alpha and beta glucose, and then the difference between Starch and glycogen. I can't wa

Amazingly boring day

absolutely nothing of interest happened today. Oh wait, actually, I got a pimple the size of Australia on my nose. I hate being a teenager.   Didn't see hot cross country guy today. I am sad .   So that's all for today. I'm gonna go jack off thinking about a threesome with hot cross country guy and Brad Pitt , then I'm going to sleep.   -psychic psychopath

The gay boy the father and the brother

Righty, So the Big meeting happened yesterday...   Chris told me what went on so here we go.   Chris went to his dads on Friday night, had dinner with them and stayed over. Saturday morning he and Jon had some time to talk, So he again asked him if he was sure he wanted to go through with this. Jon told him he was certain he was doing the right thing, that he's nervous about his dad's reaction but that it had to be done. Promising him full support whatever happens Chris agreed that they wou

giving myself a BIG pat on the back...

Well, what an utterly exhausting and annoying day I had, well only a few parts of it, but still....   So I had to be at work at 3 am again for the third day in a row, just like every week, so I am used to being completely delerious by Saturday, but today in particular, I had to take my kids to a birthday party after I finished my 8 hour shift. I couldn't say no, I mean this girl and my daughter have been friends since preschool so for about 8 years now.   Anyway, the mom, who drives me abso

That strange sound...

The strabge sound that the title refers to is the laughter of Hot Cross Country Guy, whom I had never herad laugh until today. It is the most beautiful sound ever. So my assignment to you all: In your responses to this entry, please include your favorite joke. I have made it my mission to hear his laughter more. I don't even remember what happened to make him laugh, but something did, and I was slightly euphoric for a while afterwards.   Also, on the two hour bus ride on the way home from

Mounties Detain Pitt Chasers

I saw this headline and pondered that, while armpits can be sexy, I didn't know that chasing after them was illegal in Canada. Turns out it's about people chasing after Brad Pitt. I'm not sure I blame them for that either.   It's a boring day...beautiful outside, with lots of work to do inside. Blah.

Why Me?

Okay, so there was a Football game at my highschool tonight. More importantly, it was homecoming. We Won! Anyways, since football is religion in the south, just about all of the students from my school went to cheer on the team and socialize. I went with my sister and her friend.   We stopped at Taco Bell on the way there to get a little food, and the dirve thru was packed, so we went inside. And guess who we saw there--Hot Cross Country guy. With his girlfriend. I saw him first, so I i

just wasting time

So, I am now in possession of the rental car. Chevy Cobalt. And it has a CD player. Whoo hoo! I'm not too fussy about cars, as long as they can make it up hills (essential in WV) and the brakes work, so I'm happy. I'm wondering if I got ripped off though, because the original estimate for the weekend was about $62, and I ended up paying $110 because my insurance is liability only, and they made me buy their collision insurance. The guy insisted that I had no choice, but I don't know. But...being

Stupid people make me mad

I've been in a very blog mood lately. I just used a noun as an adjective. I need to call my fellow grammar police officers and have them arrest me and then indict me and convict me of high treason against the lords of Grammar...   Got a little crazy there! Anyways, has anyone out there ever just been in an artistic mood for no reason whatsoever? I was today. So I tried to write a song, but the muse wasn't with me today. I hate it when that happens. So instead of writing a song, I sa

going away

I'm feeling particularly murderous at the moment. Had to go to the grocery store in the middle of the day, right when all the kids were getting out of high school. (The store is between the school and the city bus stop, so I guess it's a good excuse to make your kids do the shopping for you.) This group of like 50 of them got into the store just ahead of me, and they were everywhere! They just wandered around, being in the way and standing in front of my cereal. Grrr. And of course I got in line
