Romance Deep Dive

Romance stories focus primarily on character relationships and development.  There is a strong trope in most if not all, the sub-genres for Romance for a Happily Ever After (HEA) or Happy For Now (HFN).  Violating the HEA/HFN trope should not be done lightly or at a whim, as this tends to turn off readers of this genre.

I found a story I wanted to read, but could not find  the first chapter. Very frustrating. Not quite traumatizing, but triggering...
I've had this problem before, and it's one reason I rarely come back to the site unless by accident I've found a story that absorbs me, and then I get emails with the next installment. But getting started on a new story has pitfalls that you may not know are there if you are a frequent visitor and remember the way back..... I can't remember the trick of it.

If you have found the story page, scroll down until you see Chapter One, and then click on it. That should give you the beginning. If you click on any link above (just lay your cursor over the title and when it highlights, click), it will take you to that story page. Good luck and Happy Holidays, Paul. Gary.

I have never had that  problem -- except a couple of times when my phone malfunctioned.  As Gary (Headstall) mentioned, find the story listing and scroll down to Chapter 1.  I admit is it easier on my desktop computer than my phone, but I have learned to navigate my phone as well.  This is one of the easiest story sites to navigate, in my opinion.

Also, if you know the author of the story you wish, you can click on the name to get to the list of stories, then scroll through the stories of that author until you get to the one you want.  Click on it, and select the first chapter.
