I think it is obvious that his wand is closer to 3.1415926 than 3.16 in, his fascination had to come from somewhere.

Now now, Snow Dog, Val overestimated pi by approximately 0.586%. That's pretty accurate... For a muggle.

 

BTW, pottermore says my wand is nine and three quarters, not π.

well I don't believe pottermore ... while my 10-3/4" Blackthorn wand with a Unicorn hair is impressive, the fact that they placed me in Gryffindor is well ... hogwash.
