Enough of these emoticons, away, facile cartoons!

Do battle for the shiny using poetry and tunes!

Such things will soothe the blackest heart; not fairy, bear or Pi,

Will linger with the golden crown, for Bard they can't deny.

Once more unto the breach we go,

again the standards raise,

to battle for the shiny, while

the fairy stops to gaze

upon the languid penguin as

she slumbers in the sun,

which leaves the crown for Bards,

(we know that Blondels have more fun)!

i'm not blond, i've got shiny hair

No crown for fairy's hair so fine,

she wears a copper porcupine,

she has not got the crown of gold;

that went away with Bard so bold!

*points to the Bard* I think someone wants a hug from a lemurcoon!  *waddles away while the Ringed One attaches itself to the Poetic One*

The Penguin Pesky passed a fish,

then she made a little wish;

Lemur watched, with curious face,

what would you do in his place?

I know what to do, you see,

take the crown away with me!

Alas,

the battle was far from over.

For a noble champion

came to duel the bard with verse!

All, to win back his crown.

 

Behold!

Battle is met by these two foes.

And back and forth they duel,

For them to remain toe to toe.

All for Shiny, that jewel.

 

And lo!

The champion is victorious!

He claims his noble crown

and lends a hand to former foe,

now friend... the noble Bard.

You say that Victor spoils our Drew,

and maybe that is mostly true,

but he has come to wrestle here

so let us make it very clear:

 

the crown is mine, I wear it now,

it sits serenely on my brow,

and Pi can view it from afar,

and so can Penguin, from her car.
