Upcoming Game: Household Items!

I was going to do numbers and dice for the selection to make it random but instead I think I'm going to ask every author who wants to play next month's game to pick one item on this list but not tell you what you'll be doing with it. Pick an item (more than one person can choose the same item) and feel free to share it and let us all know you want to play!  The rest of the game details will be revealed next Sunday, July 2nd. Are you prepared for some fun?!

Edit to add rules: 

1. Bring one of these items to life. How is it alive? What's it like? Then think of some fun story to share with us. 

2. Stories can be any length or genre.

3. Stories need to be post-dated for July 30th (Sunday) or posted unpublished (I will publish after the newsletter goes out).

4. Stories must be done/posted by July 28th (Friday). Then send me (Cia) a link via PM.

Nope, no sentence... this time, you're bringing your ordinary, everyday household item to life ala... well, there are so many different ways!! And that list seemed so innocuous.

Okay, so maybe I watched Beauty and the Beast recently, and I'm dating myself by saying I grew up LOVING Frankenstein and The Brave Little Toaster (Blanky was so sweet!) but this is a fun way to stretch your writing skills and think a little outside the normal! So now that you have your item, think up its/his/her/xe's backstory and bring them to life on the page for us! You're totally unrestricted as far as genre, length, etc... just make sure it's posted unpublished or post-dated (for July 30th) by July 28th and send me a PM with a link to your story once it's done.
