mollyhousemouse Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 you know it's bedtime when you're woken up on the couch and reminded to say "Goodnight" good night Sirs good night friends sleep well, see you tomorrow 5
Popular Post kbois Posted July 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 8, 2020 Good morning everyone! @MacGreg, you don't post as frequently, but what I really like is that when you do, 9 times out of 10 it's something encouraging to someone who's having a rough time. A well timed 'You got this' is always nice to hear. The 10th time is usually shows that you are another person who has a wicked sense of humor. I hope that you have a good day! 7
Popular Post mollyhousemouse Posted July 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 8, 2020 anger ahead..... Spoiler it's the day of Phil's eye doctor appointment, not an easy day under "normal" circumstances. so we get to the medical building & they won't let me in. no visitors they say. she's not a visitor He tells them. I'll need her help to leave. "oh, i worked in that department. you should be able to walk out on your own." really? & did they stick a needle in your eye when you worked there? for crying out loud! it's not that He can't walk. it's that He can't see. so the screener at the door says a nurse will help Him outside when He's done. so here i sit, in the car, waiting..... He is NOT a happy Man. i am not happy... 😠 you may now return to your normal routine ... 1 7

Popular Post Starrynight22 Posted July 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 8, 2020 Happy Wednesday everyone. Chnages at my work are coming. I'm trying to be excited for them but mostly I feel badly, as if the changes are because I didn't do well in my role. 4 3

This is not the first time Phil has endured this treatment. The medical staff has to be aware. Wtf is the doc's problem he didnt send for you the min he saw you absent? 6

It's not rocket science to realize when someone has a procedure like that they will need help! I hope your day gets better and the results of the tests are good. 5

As the others have said, you should definitely report this. I hope, at least, Phil’s appointment results are good. 6

Perhaps this procedural change should be sent out to people with appointments during the pandemic BEFORE the appointment! I hope both Phil and you are okay. Try and be calm. 7

Why not communicate changes to protocol so you can prepare - even if it's just mentally. @mollyhousemouse, I'd absolutely suggest this to these people, in writing. 7

I hope both Phil and you are okay. Try and be calm. It's been so hit or miss lately from anyone I've talked to that has had to visit a doctor's office. Yesterday my son had an ortho appt. He was the only one allowed in. No mention of that in the confirmation call. The dermatologist down the hall had people sitting in their waiting room, chairs were spaced out more than 6 feet. Tomorrow my son and I have dentist appointments back to back and when they called to confirm they specifically told me to call when we were in the parking lot and they would come out and get us. We can only go in one at a time. The other one has to wait in the car. (FL heat, ugh) At least every single office has it posted that masks are required. Is it too much to ask that office staff inform people of their policies before their appointments? 5 3

I'm sure medical people get used to things, but their patients likely aren't so calm. Maybe think about partners concern for each other and parents/kids. Edited July 8, 2020 by MichaelS36 7

I know how our processes work, but I don't think much about them being mysteries to others since I deal with them day after day. That's why it's important for us to get and give feedback. It's not that we're not concerned about how we treat patients and partners, it's that we're just doing what we've been told to do, and forget others may not know ... Moral of the story: say something. People who care will listen. 5 3

Popular Post Brayon Posted July 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 8, 2020 New class started yesterday. A level 300 course, and its Ethics and Legality in Business and focuses on an introduction to business law. Been assigned another group project, with 9 other people.... all of them on the West Coast of the US. 😑 Seriously, middle of the night conference calls are for the birds. 8

In the last class, the guy from Alaska couldn't do anything until 10:30 PM his time, which was 2:30 AM ET, and our group sessions last about two hours. So far in this class, we've had two persons say they can't do voice/video until 10:00 PM CA time. There is a forum/discussion section that can be utilized, which the professor gave us to use, so I'm hoping that is an alternative to Facetime. 2 5

Get ready for spirited discussions. I loved that class (i took something similar a bazillion years ago) and wow some topics had us all fired up. It was interesting to see how so many interpretations of one event there could be. And if that's too late for you let them know that you cannot be on that late. Maybe they will have to get out of bed early to do a morning call. 6
