So far in this class, we've had two persons say they can't do voice/video until 10:00 PM CA time. There is a forum/discussion section that can be utilized, which the professor gave us to use, so I'm hoping that is an alternative to Facetime.

I don't think I could deal with going back to school in today's learning environment. I can barely hang onto my sanity during a Go To Meeting with the phone on mute. Seriously how many times do you need to tell people to not put the call on hold? No one wants to listen to your on hold music over the moderator. Anything face to face and I'd be screwed. I have no poker face when it comes to idiots and you know there's always one.

i read them all to Phil, Kitt's frying pan comment made him chuckle
to be clear, this wasn't a decision made by the doctor, it was made by the higher ups with the health care provider, a big insurance/hospital outfit here.
the doctor also was not happy. every time a patient was done with treatment, he'd lose a nurse or medical assistant  to escort them downstairs. Phil said there was an elderly woman in a wheelchair all by herself
i'm not debating the whole distancing thing, or crowd avoidance, i get that. but come on. and there was no mention of this in the confirmation phone call, i know, i took the call
it also meant that i did not get to talk to the care team as i usually do when He's done. He's not sedated for this, but i like to get the information on the swelling and the pressures in His eyes from them
once He was settled on the bed, He sent an email through the online patient portal. it's not going to change policy, and we'll likely have the same scenario next month

I'm hitting the hay early tonight. Last night's whiskey on the beach had been preceded by whiskey on the balcony and was followed by whiskey in the condo. This resulted in me sleeping on the pullout, which really meant I didn't sleep much. I still made it to work on time. But now I'm tired.

For anyone who's interested peach pecan and caramel turtle were the new flavors I tried. Two thumbs up!

I had those classes back in early 2000's, which is like when I was younger than you....  Business Laws and Ethics were different classes in my time.  I see so they compressed them into one....

So for his sake you should do class at 1 am or later? How would he feel if you forced a 7 am edt class? That would be what? 3 am his time?

All this makes me wonder what these people are doing?  They cannot start any classes until 10pm?  Yeah, I think asking him to get up for 3am his time sounds fair!!

I took pity on him, as he claimed he was a single father, and worked full time too. I don't know the validity of it, but I trusted he was being honest. I was vocal about 2 am video calls. and how they through off my schedule, so they were kept at a minimum. We did get an A on the group assignment. So, I'm happy about that.
