I've never been a fan, but everybody has their own taste for things. I'm just baffled as to why pumpkin took off like it did. Pretty soon it will have it's own holiday, I think. I'll stick with apple for my preferred fall flavor, especially apple pie made with Fireball.....mmmm! Hope y'all have a good day! Edited September 17, 2020 by kbois 5

So yeah, these will likely be very good too. I use this site often to find low carb/healthier things for Him. Thanks for sharing it. xoxo I tweak things so He can eat them. 3 4

However, i do not want pumpkin coffee or tea etc. Pumpkin custard is pie with no crust. Pumpkin has fibre and vitamin, tastes good and so is good for diabetics. So like crustless quiche, sometimes we have crustless pie. However, last year i made Him a low carb version of pecan pie. It's not the same as the real deal, but Michael understands he can't eat that anymore and appreciates what i can make won't be real pecan pie. 7

It's great that you've found an alternative to pecan pie that keeps Michael happy. Hope your both keeping well x 3

I kind of recollected I heard about Amy’s through you. I haven’t made anything as yet, but I’ve collected some good recipes since I signed up. Speaking of pumpkin, my brother makes a really nice pumpkin soup from a recipe in the Moosewood cookbook. Alas, Moosewood is only in book form. 4

I have to say, this sums up a loving relationship for me -- taking the time to research and make your partner a special version of something they wouldn't otherwise be able to eat; and appreciating that your partner took the time to do that for you. 5 1

It's not the same as the real deal, but Michael understands he can't eat that anymore and appreciates what i can make won't be real pecan pie. My husband used to love pecan pie. When we first moved to Maryland his sister in Virginia invited us for Thanksgiving and asked him if there was anything special he'd like for dessert and she'd make it for him. He said 'pecan pie'. Her response? 'Oh, you can't have that, no one in my family (her husband and 3 kids) will eat it.' We were like, wtf? Why ask? Apparently he could have anything he wanted as long as her family liked it. This happened over 20 years ago and we still tease her about it. I, too, am diabetic and have to watch the sugar in things. Some things I miss, some I don't. 6

I married a treasure. tim knows I love sweets and desserts. Often we just have fresh fruit, but he does go out of his way to make and develop things to give me treats. tim is slim and healthy and does not need to eat what I do, but he does. he refuses to eat any differently. Marriage, relationships are not easy. We choose to be together and to support each other. We choose it everyday. The pecan pie was different, but recognizable and enjoyable. I am a lucky man, and a happy one. 1 10

Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted September 18, 2020 Author Popular Post Posted September 18, 2020 IF you are a David Tennant fan. IF you like true life crime stories. IF you enjoy well written and well acted work. THEN watch: Des Absolutely brilliant. The story of Dennis Nilsen, a Scottish serial killer. Nothing gory, no violence shown. It is the story of him, the police detective in charge and the killer's biographer (played brilliantly by Jason Watkins). There is a Canadian element as one of the victims was Canadian. Brian Masters, the biographer is Gay as was Nilsen himself and a lot of his victims. This was time well spent. 8
