Popular Post Starrynight22 Posted December 3, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 3, 2020 Hey all. I am letting Little One stay up late tonight watching the rockerfeller Christmas special on tv He is dancing around and loving the music How are y'all? 3 4
Starrynight22 Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 Well Little One was sleepy so it's just me and the special now. I think it's fairly well done. Some artists I'm not as familiar with and some of the outfits are very....artistic.... But on the whole very enjoyable. And they are respecting social distancing it seems. 5

I went to New York with my Mom and Grandma when I was about 8 or 9. We saw the Christmas show and it was pretty awesome. A few years later my dad drove part time for Peter Pan Bus Lines and we'd go to NYC every year and take one of the grandkids to see Santa at Macy's. When my oldest was 5 months old we moved to MD. I specifically asked my dad to let me know when they were going to see Santa and I'd meet them with the baby. He forgot. I got an email from my mom saying they took my brother's kids. I was sorta pissed so I wrote back that I wanted to go and now my firstborn would have to have his first Santa picture with a generic mall Santa. My dad called within an hour and asked if I could get the following Thursday off. Best Santa picture ever! Those are great memories. NYC is awesome at Christmas. 4
Sherye Story Reader Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 I don't remember this, but my dad and mom use to tell us that my sister and I were scared of Santa when we were young. My dad and my mom took us downtown to see Santa and get pictures with him. They said that I got a glimpse of Santa and off I went running the opposite direction with my sister following me! My dad said that we were fast and he had trouble catching us. By the time he finally got a hold of both of us, we had already crossed the road and he caught up to us at the front steps of the courthouse! He was freaking out when we ran across the road with the traffic and cars honking! We both got in a lot of trouble doing that! But he was glad we were safe. That was when our parents decided it was time to tell us that there really was not a Sana and they were the ones that bought and put the presents in our home. They still took us every year after that to see Santa, since our little brother still believed in him. Then along came our baby brother! 3

spyke Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 Good morning and happy Thursday! It was a bit chilly outside when I went for my morning walk. It's 28º and yes @kbois, I was bundled up for an Antarctic expedition, complete with ear warmers🤣 I hope that everyone has a great day today and that only good things come your way. 4

I definitely would've worn socks for that walk! We only dropped down to 44 this morning and it's supposed to go up to 75 today. Flip flops are back on on my feet are happy they can breathe again!😆 Have a good day everyone! 3 1

I wish I hadn't been raised in a religious upbringing and could've formed my own opinions as I matured. It's hard to come to terms with basically denouncing everything you were taught. It took a while but I'm finally comfortable with what I believe. No matter if it's religion, sexual orientation or gender identity, politics or anything really, if you're not conforming with the accepted "norm" other people will judge. 4

Popular Post Kitt Posted December 3, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 3, 2020 Warning, rant ahead. If you are not in the mood, please skip! How the #&*! can you run a business in which the employees refuse to speak to each other? My horse has had digestive issues for the last 3 weeks. Because I didn't trust the stable hands to properly medicate my old man, I have been up at 5 every morning to medicate him before breakfast, and my daughter has been there every evening to do the dinner dose. When asked not to turn him out in the am, I would do so when meds were done, they ignored me and turned him out 4 days out of 5, requiring me to go out and bring him into a confined area to medicate him. Ok, strike one. coming into week two, I discussed with the barn owner what the horse was dealing with, whether it could be contagious ( not according to the vet) and asked at that time when the last time the worming had occurred, when it was due next and what worming meds were used last time. I specifically told him DO NOT WORM HIM until we get a grip on what the issues are. A few days later I thought better of verbal instructions with these idiots, and sent a text to boss man and all 4 barn hands, including the one out on disability right now. The response I got was "Oops, sorry, we wormed him this morning." Strike two. We finished the second round of antibiotics Monday morning, and my daughter told one of the hands Bo could now go out when ever he was done eating each morning. I don't know which hand she told. Tuesday I told hand #2 when I got there around 10 am and found him still inside. On Wednesday I get there at 9, and yep, horse is still inside, so I tell hand #3. This morning I get a call around 11am, can horse go out? I told at least 2 of the 3 active hands, assuming Wings told one of them a second time. Strike three, you are out. And my family wonders why I quit this job, trying to manage a barn worked by these idiots! 6 2

Wow, you've got your hands so full it's no wonder you can't smack some sense into these idiots, including the barn manager. I don't blame you for being pissed. It's unfortunate that morons like those barn hands are allowed anywhere near a horse. My husband works for a company that lacks communication. His schedule gets changed last minute, he shows up for a job and finds out the service on the work order is totally not what they need and then has to reschedule. He finds out about mandatory training that's due by the next day. Oh...and they have a whole section in their system for notes which is blank more often than not. It seems like lack of work ethic is much more prevalent than having work ethics. Sorry you're dealing with this Kitt. 2 5
