If you sort stories by highest number of comments, two of hers take top seed, amassing an incredible 12,000 comments between them. That's just wow. So many great authors make GA the best site because of how much feedback is given and the interaction between authors and readers. Kudos. I agree that @kbois should be in this too. She is a great author. And let's not forget our late friend, the talented, @Comicality. He will be missed. And @Wayne Grayis a superb author himself! 1 6
Popular Post ReaderPaul Posted April 25 Author Popular Post Posted April 25 I read most of the stories of @Ronyx on other sites before he came here. Excellent writer. His story, "Other Sinful Things," is the only story I can think of which features both the gay son of a bigoted pastor AND a trans person --meaning both are major characters. And the stories of @Mark Arbour are very good, but I am not much into historical fiction. And @Valkyrie has great stories, but I have not read many of them yet. Real life keeps me from reading anywhere near as many stories as I want to read. I am very glad to see others joining in with their favorite authors. Keep it up! 8

You see, this is just another example (with respect to the poster, who expresses their personal opinion) of a commentary that proves lists are argumentatively bad — a list is a relative thing and therefore unreliable. 2 6

Bud, I gave you an out (a reasonable one at that) but you seem to be doubling down on a list of worthy authors. What is it that you don’t get about the wrongness of lists??? Seriously, I’m shaking my head right now at your obtuse behavior, and I thought better of you. 2 4
Popular Post ReaderPaul Posted April 25 Author Popular Post Posted April 25 I missed @Timothy M. as a favorite of mine. I have not seen much new from him lately is my only excuse. @Laura S. Fox definitely is superbly talented. And what I have read from @kbois is good, as well. I have missed seeing @craftingmom the last four years. I hope she is doing well. 6

We've heard your opinion, but people are having a good time here, that's what matters. 7
Ron Posted April 25 Posted April 25 13 minutes ago, CassieQ said: We've heard your opinion, but people are having a good time here, that's what matters. Is that all that matters? There is the great matter of fact versus opinion, and your opinion seems to clash with facts — lists can be a useful tool but lists are mutable (they can and often do change even over a brief period of time). Wouldn’t it be better to ask: Which author engages you the most?; Which author best coincides with your interests?; Which author delights the funny-bone in you?; and, etc. That would be a post that I would be onboard with. But not a list which excludes you for any number of reasons. So, no, I don’t agree with you that having a good time is what matters. I don’t choose to be party-pooper but I don’t choose to be party to a list that excludes some over the illusive virtue of others, and I don’t believe that’s what you want either. 1 3

J That reminds me, the other day I saw a grey rabbit dashing down the sidewalk while I was traveling and then I saw a pet shop at the corner. I kept wondering what his great escape must have been like. Edit: The crime rate is so high in my area, I immediately thought, "they'll never take him back to the slammer." Lee Wilson Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Rather than re-type the names, here are the 20 authors with the most comments on GA: https://gayauthors.org/stories/browse/author/?filter_sort=commentcount + https://gayauthors.org/stories/browse/author/?page=2&filter_sort=commentcount Sure the list is fluid, but as of 12:07 AM EST April 25, 2025 it is accurate. 1 2

I’m going to reply for @ReaderPaul because you are skirting my proposal by seeking out approval for some undefined something … something that @ReaderPaul may not even be aware of. Define weird! 5
ReaderPaul Posted April 25 Author Posted April 25 I am aware of what @Jason Rimbaud means on two levels. He has grown and is growing. Subject relating to a different thread. I also know what he means by bunnies, I think. He means how sometimes comments lead to "chasing rabbits" metaphorically. 1 4

I suppose, if I must, that there is more to all of us than meets the word on the page. @Jason Rimbaud Chose whatever color rabbit you want. But define weird for me. 2 3

I just really like bunnies!!! Chocolate ones. Like the one I’m currently eating from Easter. 5 1

The list has now disintegrated as I’ve insisted that it would all along. I rest my case. Thank you @Jason Rimbaud for enthusiastically supporting my thesis. I’ll forgive you for not having defined weird. 1 4

Popular Post Howzat Posted April 25 Popular Post Posted April 25 Okay I'm late to the party but I'm pretty sure having just read this forum that no-one has mentioned the late, great @Carlos Hazday! I still miss his CJ stories many of which had to be left unfinished due to his untimely demise. My two favourite authors to engage with are @kbois (who created The Korner Krew, and of which I am a proud member) and @Mrsgnomie - both authors comment on each other's stories and engage with us readers. 1 6
