Just checked the thermostat.

It reads as 29C (85F). Time to put the AC on and hope last night’s power outage had nothing to do with an overtaxed grid. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
 

ETA: I hope everyone else is keeping cool.

try 49°C on our balcony (120°F…) you would melt, Tim.

Been to bank. V friendly manager told me that it was v unlikely I would recoup 720€ ( USD 835) as I entered bogus site….. Yessss?   So well pleased on that.  One wiener dog is for sale!

So.......

I'm heading back to Florida tonight. In the past, every single time I've left Massachusetts, it was always with a heavy heart because its the place I've always considered home. 

This time, I'm ok with leaving because I've made the decision to move back. 

A lot of factors have contributed to the decision. Now that my parents are gone, there's really nothing tying me to the area. 

I have a much broader support system in Mass. The day after I told a good friend I was moving back, the next day she was planning an evening out to see a cover band when I get back. 

I have movers all set up and will be packing up the rest of our place this week. The truck should be there Saturday and we'll head out after we finish cleaning. 

Ive always hated packing and moving. This time I will be smiling as I tape up boxes.

I'm going home. ❤️

Sometimes we have to reassess life. And if I had the choice, like a real choice, I'd go back to Kentucky. I understand the hold "home" has on us, so I'm happy you get to have that again.

Beside me in my lil creative corner of the living room, sits a small end table where my laptop is when not on my lap, a very old poinsettia (it must be getting on for nine years old now- the base of it is wood now, not green stalk anymore... it came from the grocery store and decided to stay), a spider plant growing in water, a bottle of lubriderm and some kleenex (no Wayne, just no). 

My Husband, who is working from home today was in the kitchen and looked out and said to me, "Did you put more plants down there." 

"Sorry? What plant?"

"The spider plant."

I said, that's been there over a year. 

He looked at me and said., "Really?"

I said, yep, at least that long. 

I wouldn't mind but He sits on the other side of the same table. Sigh.

That's great news! No more hurricanes, gators, sinkholes and snowbirds for you to deal with. 

However, regardless of what anyone says, you CANNOT wear flip flops in the snow!

Maybe this is just what you need to find your muse and spark your creativity.
