Reveal hidden contents Until he poops in the house. I'm happy he hits the puppy pads 9 times out of 10. Not bad for being almost blind. To my horror, I have just seen I wrote that I was the driver, I meant WASN’T. Our previous dog, Fosca, rescued from street, lived to 17.5. Like yours she was blind but able to have short walks on a lead, always the same little route etc. Sadly, she started with dementia and was distressed even when we were in the room. But. She certainly travelled, Spain, France, UK, Ireland….. 5 1

Poor guy got dragged out of Florida only to be subjected to 4 months of arctic blasts and snow deeper than he is tall. He's not super well traveled but he has been to Kansas and Maryland. Plus four days in Tallahassee bunking in with 4 college kids during a hurricane lol. He's mostly a good boy. He is part dachshund so any bad behavior comes from those genes I'm sure. Lol 1 1 4

Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted May 3 Author Popular Post Posted May 3 it was a nice walk to the mall, but no Chinese food to pick up as they were closed. So, baked potato, salad with poppy seed dressing and chicken strips it is. Perhaps with luck i can get some of what i want Tuesday or Wednesday. Hope you had better luck. 4 1 2

The child is meeting two of his cousins for sushi tonight. The MIL went out for lunch for some great-grandkids birthday (I don't keep track, there's too many nieces/nephews and greats to keep track of). She won't be very hungry for dinner. I decided to throw a lasagna together. Leftovers will be appreciated on my late night to work and I don't cook. I'm sure you'll get your Chinese food this week. Your man is good about things like that 😁. 5 1
Popular Post Gary L Posted May 3 Popular Post Posted May 3 Why do I think of the line from ‘Hotel California’, “you can check out any time, but you can never leave”, when I think of the hospital? After eight day residency I escaped but tomorrow I am required to attend appointments at 08.30, 10.30 (same dept) and 15.30… Only benefit is I escape ‘walkies’ at 09.00. 11.00 and 14.30. There’s always a silver lining… 3 1 2

The dehydrated slices hold up better than fresh. Eggplant is a stupid price right now. We'll see about Chinese food.. we likely will go because there's no way i can eat pizza unless i put it in a blender...which is not going to happen. Not sure what is happening this week. I have nothing on my calendar but then i didn't last week and ended up at the dentist. I have finished a few stories and have a couple more i'd like to get done for regular posting, maybe one will do for premium and a couple are for the anthology. I don't normally have stories in storage, it's kinda cool. lol As chris has mentioned it is Star Wars Day and here's a picture of that cute lil fella... Enjoy your day folks! 5

I haven't priced eggplant in a couple of months or so. I bought one when I got a whole bunch of stuff to roast and I still have a little bit of those veggies in the freezer. I think the eggplant was around $2 or so. I got myself out of cooking today the hard way. I woke up at 530am and got up to go to the bathroom. Next thing I know, I'm flat on my back on the floor with a beautiful egg blooming on the back of my head and hubs hovering over me asking if I was alright. Yeah. I'm ok. I have no idea what happened. I think I just got up too fast and the blood pressure tanked. Either that or I was still too sleepy to attempt walking. I dunno. Now I've just got a slight headache and a sore back. I'll just add it to the other daily aches and pains. But anyways, we're going out to eat. His sisters still haven't said anything about driving the MIL out to Indiana. Supposedly they are leaving this weekend. I'm all for having a break from caretaking a 91 year old, but a heads up would be nice. Not to mention it's effing stupidity to subject this poor woman to two days of at least 8 to 10 hours of bring stuck in a car. Then keep her for 3 weeks without any kind of anxiety meds when she's going to be in an unfamiliar house and I'm guaranteeing her confusion and incontinence will get worse. Then subject her to two more days of long travel coming home so we can deal with the repercussions of the fallout from the trip. Just what I want to come home to after my vacation at the end of the month. Why they don't fly her out and back, I don't know. At least that would only be one long travel day at each end. My in-laws are not the brightest. Enough of a rant. Sorry. I'm a bit cranky today. May the 4th be with you. 1 4 1

I once had afternoon tea with Sir Alec Guinness, one of the original stars of Star Wars. Having never seen it I felt inadequate until he told the story of refusing offer after offer to star in second film. Once was enough! Okay, I’ll come clean. I was more intimidated by the afternoon tea routine.. why is milk such an issue? 3 3

However, He will drink unsweetened iced tea in the summer. I have been a bad influence on Him. However, He refuses to say garbage can and says bins and pavement etc. 5 1

Mikiesboy Posted May 5 Author Posted May 5 Well, my dance card has been filled in for the remainder of this week and all of next week. I have daily dog walking duties on top of everything else. I have decided to try and write another Searcher story with Stravor and Keter and the gang. I've been thinking about it for a while. Put down the first page or so last night. We'll see how it goes and if I can make it work. Baked oatmeal bars and date squares today. 4

Gary L Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Should be in Munich awaiting next flight to Birmingham (UK).. Instead at home thanks to flights being cancelled…. My sister has dementia clinic appointment but won’t be there for her in person. Mine is just one of 14,000 flights cancelled in May going into/out of UK. I’m busy sticking pins into an orange-haired voodoo doll……. 4 1
