I didn't buy a new stove but I did buy a new air fryer and toaster oven. It was time. I'm thinking about a new full size stove too and mattress. Big ticket items, but nothing lasts forever.

So far Kitt holds the longevity trophy. I've been with my hubby for 40 years, married for almost 34. It's been a lot of ups and downs. Marriage isn't a smooth, straight road, that's for sure. It's easy to love someone and want to smack them upside the back of the head at the same time. I'm positive he thinks the same way about me lol.

One of my favourite days. We've only had two cups so far. I'm sure we'll add a couple more before the day is over. 

tim has baked up a storm today. Apple brownies, 2 pans of date squares and some oatmeal bars.  Some of that is destined for the freezer.  It smells amazing in here. 

While all of those things are wonderful. It's the apple brownies that I like the most. Simple and delicious.

We're off to Kansas tonight to see my elder spawn for his birthday. I'm not a fan of taking the last flight of the day but it made the most sense as they have a wedding this afternoon. We don't get in until just after midnight. 

His birthday is Tuesday and for his present I got us tickets to see the Royals get beaten by the dreaded Yankees. But I did spring for decent seats so we'll have fun. 

I'm so excited to see my son and daughter-in-law. Hopefully the flights are on time. 🤞
