She read what one of my teachers had written: "Good luck to the girl who can get more words in per minute than any I've ever known." Yeah. I was quite the talker when I was young. I don't know where your mind went 🤔🤭 1 7

kbois Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Hubs and I have decided to take advantage of his sister being in town and take a day off from everything tomorrow. We've decided to visit our old stomping ground from our college/dating years and visit our old haunts in Salem. (pun intended) So for the SIL has been okay but we haven't seen much of her. We learned long ago not to cater to her off-the-wall plans and just do our own thing. Example.... She offered to buy Chinese food for dinner tonight. She and the MIL left the house at 930 this morning and it's 500 and they're not back. Looks like it's leftovers because I sure as hell didn't take anything out. 🙄 But this is typical of her so I'm not surprised nor do I really care. 2 1

Starrynight22 Posted April 19 Posted April 19 In good news Older Kiddo (who is a man grown. lol) is in school in Boston. Pretty sure i shared that last summer when he left. Anyway, he interviewed for a co-op position (it's like a paid internship for a grade) and he got his first choice at Boston Brewery (the home of Sam Adams beer!) So I've been celebrating him from afar. Little Kiddo hit 5'3 so he is taller than grandma. That's 160cm for those who use a sensible system 4 1

I do that with apples and plums when they are in season. It's a good savings. 4

The amount of money they've saved me and the headaches they've prevented more than justify their fees. Seriously, talk to some people and get recommendations for good accountants who are local. I guarantee you won't regret it. 4

Because nothing about dealing with taxes gets less complicated. 2
Popular Post kbois Posted April 20 Popular Post Posted April 20 I got my taxes done early this year. That's a first for me. Uncle Sam was nice enough to give me a nice chunk of our money back to us. I had to file state taxes for the first time in 17 years. Chalk one up to no Florida state income tax. Did not go to Salem today because the SIL left early this morning. I thought she was leaving tomorrow so..... Yay for that nice surprise! My son had plans for today so neither hubs nor I wanted to leave his mom alone all day. Poor woman is exhausted after being dragged around by her daughter for 3 days. Anyhoo.... We decided to take a short drive up north to Yankee Candle....yes...that Yankee Candle. Its their main store which is down the street from their big factory where they make all the stuff. Let's just say my husband has added another location to "the places kbois is not allowed" What? The candies were buy 1 get 1 50% off!!!!! 6

Popular Post Gary L Posted April 20 Popular Post Posted April 20 So, hey, tomorrow after a 7-night stay, I get to escape from hospital after this pm I was bumped up to an extra session in theatre to get rid of me! So all that wait for a one-hour exploratory of my heart arteries which I watched live! Results v positive. So tomorrow I sleep in my own bed, see the wieners again, and thank goodness for a free at service health system… even if it took a week! night night, all 🤗 7
