It's definitely Sunday, as I'm back in school tomorrow after 2 weeks off.

Hope it’s a good day for you, chris.

Hubs and I have decided to take advantage of his sister being in town and take a day off from everything tomorrow. We've decided to visit our old stomping ground from our college/dating years and visit our old haunts in Salem. (pun intended)

So for the SIL has been okay but we haven't seen much of her. We learned long ago not to cater to her off-the-wall plans and just do our own thing.

Example.... She offered to buy Chinese food for dinner tonight. She and the MIL left the house at 930 this morning and it's 500 and they're not back. Looks like it's leftovers because I sure as hell didn't take anything out. 🙄 But this is typical of her so I'm not surprised nor do I really care.

In good news Older Kiddo (who is a man grown. lol) is in school in Boston. Pretty sure i shared that last summer when he left.

Anyway, he interviewed for a co-op position (it's like a paid internship for a grade) and he got his first choice at Boston Brewery (the home of Sam Adams beer!)

So I've been celebrating him from afar.

Little Kiddo hit 5'3 so he is taller than grandma.  That's 160cm for those who use a sensible system

Turkey is great protein... from now on, i'm buying two 12lb-ers and cooking them both and freezing the meat, when they are on sale.  I do that with apples and plums when they are in season. It's a good savings.

This right here is the reason I pay someone a lot of money to do them for me.

It's crossed my mind, believe me. And well, doing them 'myself' cost  $100.  So, it might be worthwhile. I will discuss with Michael. He'll likely say, yeah sure, go ahead.

It's me that's cheap.  lol

It's worth it,  especially if you have extra stuff.  Mine has to bust out an old school calculator to look at my investment paperwork.

Same here. Mine are too complex for me to even attempt to figure out.

The bill from the accountant is the one bill that I never object to paying.  The amount of money they've saved me and the headaches they've prevented more than justify their fees. Seriously, talk to some people and get recommendations for good accountants who are local. I guarantee you won't regret it.

There are some nearby and they have been there forever. I'll have a word.

🤔 Next year, due to various tax and estate planning reasons, an accountant will be my likely choice. Because nothing about dealing with taxes gets less complicated.
