It's so nice to see the contrast between the two relationships. Keith and Thomas seem to have it right!

Growing up I couldn't experience the outdoors like Pahana can, but I enjoy experiencing it through Pahana's eyes. The UK countryside is different so Pahana's experiences are more exciting than they would have been for me in my youth, we don't have the same wildlife so there would not have been any ghost cats here. Pahana's Native American family is expanding, and Mateo will contribute to his knowledge and experience, their first joint experience was exciting for Pahana.

Poor David and Jacob. Kyle has been so close, yet totally absent from them. Andy seems to be thinking of paying Brian a visit. I wonder if Alex is up for more than something casual?
-
Andy's visit with his mom went well. Tyler's two weeks as crew chief went well. Tyler's mom is getting some and worried about Tyler's reaction to his dad. Alex was a nice diversion and it could be more....

I had to convince the real Calvin to wear a suit instead of ratty jeans and a t-shirt for a custody hearing. Some people just don't get it, and yes, you can pour bleach on shit, but that doesn't make it edible. Billy will be calling Bryan and Caleb to testify. How soon, I'm still not sure. I have to remember his witness list, since Diego also has to testify, along with a couple more supporting witnesses. Had Clarke not gone down the road of character assassination, the hearings would've been much shorter.

It's mostly due to not having read the first book. This second book kind of weaves on and around the first story about The Orchard. But dint worry, you'll get there.
-
Well, I average about 6 typed pages per chapters at 1/2" margins and currently on page 306, but there was a lot to unpack (apparently), and courtroom scenes aren't exactly thrilling (hence Trump falling asleep during his own criminal trial, which most lawyers will tell you is understandable). I don't know how much more there will be, but given I've written 7 more chapters(?) and I'm still not done, I think we'll be good for a few more months yet.

Now I'm worried about David.

As the three of us started up the trail, I mentally pinched myself to make sure this was real. We were hiking into a wilderness area, historically important to the American Indians. Getting to this point had been an exercise in diplomacy and manipulation for me, and I was rightfully proud of the accomplishment. Benny and Tocho had invited me to join them on this expedition, but I needed my parents' permission. Mom tended to be overprotective, and as much as she'd come to like Tocho, I knew

Sad ending to an otherwise upbeat chapter.

I can only say ditto to the above! I love the realism, humor, and genuine love that comes through!

I would think it is pretty basic to dress a certain way when you are in court Calvin doesn't even understand that simple part.Having said that there are a lot of defendants no matter how well they are dressed they are still slime. I can see this coming down to Billy calling Bryan and Caleb to testify

P.S. I guess my ‘About Me’ only warrants a 1/3 on your scoring method. -
Hey, all!
-
Indeed. 50 chapters to get to this point, though they aren’t long chapters. Do hope this debacle is wrapped up sooner than later. No wonder Bryan needs antidepressants!
-
I'm thinking Tyler (or maybe Troy) needs to call Morgan and Morgan! If Tyler's mom goes to work for Adams construction, it could solve some of their problems!

All very good points. Is this something that will become a problem for him later? Maybe, I haven’t gotten there yet. Jaws plus Schwarzenegger times two. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best thing. Etc., etc. I’ll try to work in the literary references too. Maybe some Mario Puzo or Henry Hill? -

Not a tough choice. What are those commercials with the painfully obvious choices, Geico maybe? Love to see one for that choice. -
