What forces a person into hiding? How do you find them when they are too afraid to come out?

I have no idea where this poem came from; it popped into my head in sentence fragments and discontiguous scenes and then everything connected together all at once. Mature for depression/suicide theme.

Ren Hill has fascinated Ryan Pape for years, but he was always unreachable. Until they meet in the parking lot at a no tell, one start motel. Ryan must now take courage to convince Ren, that they are right for each other.
