Disasters, Delights and Other Detours - 23. Three May Cinquains

Cinquains for the spring. Every error made is mine; hope you can ignore them.

I spied

your stars rising

high in the southern sky;

a constellation promising

and bright;

they say

you are loyal and generous,

a sexy lover, too;

but they forgot

your smile.

Do you

anticipate

that sweet, strong, tight embrace

where warmth meets warmth and hearts beat swift

as one?

Await

with me that transcendent moment

when parts join exactly

with our voices

in tune.

Smudged prints

on the mirror

remind me of faces

I glimpsed one day, transfigured by

delight;

were we

spectators outside looking in,

or the mover and moved

seeing beyond

the glass?

As is ever the case, I appreciate your comments and thoughts.

I agree these are lovely ... i like stars but can't see them often . Sometimes we can see one or two bright ones. Just too much light pollution... but these are wonderful! xoxo

Thank you, tim. Some constellations are old friends; all one needs is a glimpse of a few points of light to know they are shining there. Kind of like some wonderful people I know, too...  xxoo. p

I am partial to smiles

that dazzle like stars

And eyes that hold promises

of trips beyond Mars

Sorry, Parker... got carried away... you poetry always inspires me, even when I am reluctant. These were wonderful... :hug:

I am glad these inspired and made you smile. I love your response verse! Stars and constellations are some of the greatest delights of any time. Thank you, my friend.

These all remind me of the innocence of play. The rising 'sign' of the beloved in the sky, the foggy mirror showing the true pair of carefree boys, the happy union of voice and emotions. A lovely set. They make me feel "Summer is coming!"

Well done :)

You made my evening when I saw this. You divined my meaning perfectly in the first, and in the third. And you seemed to hear, as I did, a kind of harmony in the second. Thank you for  reading this set, and for your thoughts.
