Disasters, Delights and Other Detours - 38. Warm January Skyscrapers

Three skyscrapers for cold, cold January. I am grateful and indebted to @AC Benus for his help in improving them. All errors are mine, of course.
Visit me
while I in slumber hide
and in my dreams make adventure reign
that, every check or inhibition cast aside,
we let bold liberty slip its chain;
so I invite your tide,
filled with thee.

I'll admire
how joy on your face spreads
as I yield to let you make us one;
hold me open wide, accepting your sweetest gift,
help me sing that wordless, heedless song,
reciting ageless threads
of desire.

I will lie
face down beneath your kiss,
basking in our common completion,
sense returning slowly, yet rapture remaining;
my heartbeat whispers its elation,
every breath chanting bliss
as I die.

Warm and inviting poems, even though written in the cold of January. Sometimes we all just need a comforter - safe and warm.

Thanks for sharing with us :)

It might be cold outside, but I felt the heat of these... especially the second and third. You had these three in perfect order, la petite mort a fitting end... I will celebrate them with my aromatic beverage and a warm blanket.  Maybe I will read them once more... and smile... :)

Yes, a nice warm comforter in January can be just the thing. Safe, warm and perfectly peaceful. Thank you for your help in making these just so. :)

I’m glad these brought a bit of heat to the cold days. And I’m happy you might find them worth celebrating. I shall raise my glass to the north with an answering smile. Thank you.

Thank you, molly. They were definitely written as a set, as you could tell. I am glad you liked them.
