Weekly Wrap Up (Nov. 17 - Nov. 23)

    By wildone

Steve has climbed into his cave and don't wake him up until the end of April.  I think it it is @Slytherin's turn to stay awake this winter   That bear just happens to be the colour of outdoors.  We got dumped on the past week. No road lanes, no sidewalks, no nothing. All buried in snow. It is beautiful if you don't need to go out into it  Also, the temperature dropped into the minus celsius without windchill  Winter is here, I hereby declare. May you all share the wonder of it

Getting Back On The Horse

Many years ago, I was hit with a horrible bout of depression. During some of the sessions with my therapist, he talked about affirmations.  I keep some on my desk at work, I have several pages of them bookmarked on my laptop, and my husband will occasionally write one on the bathroom mirror.  Reading them, seeing them, is very helpful to me. Well, last week was an absolute disaster at work, and some of that negativity carried over to my home life.  I’m still working on recovering.  In tryin

2017 Health Issue Update

On September 25, 2015 2017, I went for my six month Urological check-up and came away with a clean bill of health. My next check-up is in six months again.    It's been almost four years now since the bladder tumors were found and I'm Cancer free. After the next appointment, I might be able to switch to an annual bladder check. It's not all that exciting having a small flexible scope pushed into the urethra, not to mention the burning pain when I need to pee the next few times.

To my big bro

Its September 28th. You should be twenty nine today. But you didn't even reach two years old. I'm sorry that you never even reached two years old. I'm sorry I never got to know you. I'm sorry you died in a fire crying by yourself. I'm sorry your mother wasn't there when sure should've been. I'm sorry your father wasn't there when he should've been. I'm sorry I wasn't there, but then I couldn't have been. I'm sorry that your parents thought so little of you that almost exactly to the day nine mon

Buffalo Wild WIng Encounter

It’s Thursday, September 21st, 2017 and I’m in Daly City California.  It’s my day off, nothing special about that except that “N” is working the morning shift and I have the whole day off to do whatever I want.  If I want to stay in bed all day naked, watching YouTube videos, I can.  Or if I want to do a marathon of jerking off to free porn on the whole interwebs, I can and no one can say anything about it.  And don’t think I didn’t contemplate that last one this morning after waking up wi

Reflections on my birthday

I want to thank everyone at Gay Authors who has made my visits here so satisfying and enjoyable.  The stories are what brought me here and keeps me coming back so I first want to thank Mark Arbour for his CAP Series and later his Bridgemont saga. Mark's stories are what brought me to the site in the first place and they keep me coming back.  Along the way C. James' "Circumnavigation" and Andrew Q Gordon's stories also captivated me...and so many others too including Nephylim, Libby Drew, AnytaSu

Deep Concern

Hurricane Harvey, a cat 4 storm, makes a direct hit on the sixth largest city in the country.   In addition to storm surge and wind damage, there is historic levels of flooding damage that add to the misery.   It is expected that Harvey might be the most expensive natural disaster in American history.   Here we go again. We've been here before with Katrina and New Orleans. Almost right on the tick of the solar cycle(1,2).   Only this time we've got another

A Science Lesson with Professor Lee

Once upon a time scientists thought the world was flat. Then they discovered chromosomes . (these two events have nothing to do with each other, I'm simply using them of references to establish a time line) Scientists discovered the (X) Chromosome and (Y) chromosome. The pattern in which these chromosomes occur decides whether someone is born (male) or (female).  All eggs start out with with (XX), female. Then once fertilized a surge of hormones in the uterus decide whether a

North Korea's Game

This little problem didn't just crop up. It's been going on for a long time.    Trump got famous for a book he wrote years ago called The Art of The Deal.   The game the Kim dynasty has been playing is quite different. If they wrote a book it would best be titled The Art of The Shakedown.   Now after decades of work on their part its a thousand times worse because they have nukes.   The warnings about this go back as far as George Bush, the elder.

A fond farewell to my home

So, this is it. In ten hours I'll be on a plane to my new home in Prince George, five hundred kilometers away from everyone and everything that I've grown up with for the last twenty-seven years of my life.    I wish I could say I was excited, because I should be, and on some level I suppose I am. This is a chance for a new start and to erase all of the mistakes I made in Vancouver. No one knows me in Prince George; I don't have to face the stigma of all of the things that people think

The Process and Patrick

As most of my friends were graduating college and moving on with their lives, I was getting left behind. I couldn't afford to finish school and worked my life away. Every day waking up and doing the same thing. Go to work. Go to a second job. Go to sleep. Repeat. It was horrible and I started falling into a pretty dark depression. Writing was the one thing I could turn to that would make me feel happy. Make me feel like me again.   Any free time I had I would try and write something. M

Going for Your Dreams

Since I was a little kid I've dreamed of being a writer. From the moment I learned how I just couldn't stop. Every scrap of paper I found I would write something on. Journals full of ideas, short stories, one liners, poems, songs, plays; everything you could imagine writing. I experimented with it all. Ten year old Robert even thoroughly researched (and exhausted the family printer) everything related to World War II in a failed attempt to write the next great war epic.     It was a pa

Day off...Cleaning...24

I have the day off, first one in a pretty long time that the Boyfriend is working.  Not saying he isn't the cleanest person on the planet, but he's messy as fuck.  So I really needed to clean the house while he's not around so he won't distract me by dancing around the house in his undies.  Though that does make me feel like fuzzy bunny slippers when he does.   So I needed some motivation to clean this filthy house.  I searched through my almost one thousand movies and decided on re-wa

Dating Bi-Curious Men "X"

Relationships, what really defies one? When you meet someone you both decide to form a union between the two of you. It is a commitment that no one else will come between, but when two friends of the same sex create this what does it really mean? While growing up we are brain washed to believe it will have to be between a man and a woman, but what if those men secretly like men? You know the down low or bi-curious men. Can they truly have a relationship with another man? Maybe seeing it as a bro

Seeing the Partial Eclipse

On Monday, August 21st I got to see the solar eclipse. In my area, it was about 77 percent coverage, so just a partial one, but still incredible to watch. I got off work around 1:17, and drove over to the Glasgow County Park on Route 40. There's a little running hill where I went to the top and watched it with about 20 or so people. It was pretty cool- absolutely amazing to watch the sun turn into a little tangerine slice.   Definitely won't forget it, for sure.
