My First - And Perhaps Last - Blog

How to write a blog? I've no idea, since this is my first try. I've looked at a few blogs written by other GA members, and I don't think I could come up with anything remotely resembling the interesting, funny or cool entries of other people.
In any case I don't have much to say, and I certainly don't expect anyone to pay a lot of attention. Except my GA friends who're kind, supportive and wonderful. You know who you are. ;)

My main reason for creating a blog and making an entry is to compile a list of the reviews I've written for the site blog Featured Story. This will make it easier for me to find them, mainly when I want to enjoy reading the nice comments they got. Apart from having the chance to draw attention to stories I admire, one of the best things about writing reviews is the feedback. I'm grateful for every single reply and like I got for those story reviews.

I can recommend writing reviews for the blog, and Renee Stevens is always happy to receive them. I suggest reading her description of How to before you take the plunge.

Tim, that's so beautifully put! I did read just one chapter of the story, and it was very interesting. I think it was a few chapters into the story. Maybe I need to give this story another go...

You should definitely give it another try, Lisa. Bound & Bound will make you laugh, cry and shudder in horror, but remember, LOVE conquers all.

You're welcome, my friend. And I finally managed to get my Secret Admirer reviews transferred to @aditus and your stories. I was pleased you both noticed them at once, and thank you for the message on my profile.

lol, you read the early chapter for me where Lady G is sexing up her husband in a power drive :) I remember your comments on it, and thanks for helping with that one, seeing as you are a real lady and all

I'm really happy to hear that, William, I'm sure @AC Benus will be thrilled with the awesome story review you left on Judas Tree.

If you go to one of the Featured Story blog reviews and click on the tag 'story review' you get eight pages of reviews recommending stories. Once you're done with my suggestions, you can see what other people like.

Yes, thank you, Tim and William.

This is a great list you have put together, because it is difficult to find good stories and I always like to choose by reading a synopsis and a review. Your list led me to a fantastic story, the first one, Judas Tree. I doubt I would have read it were it not for your review, and what I would have missed, a truly wonderful piece of writing. If only there were more reviews to lead us to more great stories. Thank you so much for this ☺

Thank you for the fantastic story review on Judas Tree. It's one of the best I've ever gotten :)

Oh, I remember that chapter pretty well! Lady G was looking down at the two men outside (one was her husband, right?), and she was getting all hot and bothered!

I mean, you read the chapter you described (the one I commented on just above), but I thought you read an earlier one where she's attacking her husband with her lady bits. I messed up remembering which one you read, but you got it right.

That sounds familiar also. That wasn't in the same chapter? lol

Now you really have to go read the story, Lisa. :gikkle:

I look forward to reading your comments. Please tell me when you're done, since notifications on stories I follow don't work. :(

I see that I will definitely have to read this story!! You've both convinced me, Tim and AC! lol

It won't be for a while though, because I have so much stuff going on, I barely have time to read the anthos!! :(  But I will read it, and I'll let you know when I'm done, Tim. :)

I spent most of the time at home, except for a quick trip to London. It seems like ages ago, because August was terribly busy. Spetember is a bit better, but I won't catch up with my writing and reading until the end of October. :(

I only just managed to get the 9.11 review done and thank you again for doing some fast editing. Lightening Lisa.

I know it's a little bit like bragging, but whenever I add a review link to this blog, I feel happy and proud. :*)

I love the thought of contributing to GA - the wonderful site which has given me more friends, readers and writing help than I ever dreamed of. I also enjoy pointing out stories I love, and having others read them and agree with me.

It's even better now we have a small review team, but of course it's also great when other GA members sends review to Renee. Don't be shy if you have a story you want to recommend. Let @Renee Stevens or me know, we're always ready to help if you want to try your hand at writing a review for the GA blog.

I'm going to make all the author names into @mention tags. It will take a while, because I can only do them one at a time by editing the blog. The posting editor refuses to do more than one @mention at a time. :(

My apologies, Tim, but I didn't see this when you first posted your blog entry. What you've done is wonderful -- a consolidated list of stories along with detailed reviews of those stories. Thank you

No need to apologize, it was started ages ago and mostly for my own benefit. But I'm rather proud of my list of story reviews, so it's fun to draw attention to it once in a while. As well as using one of the nice new features of the site.

:thankyou:  for checking it out and leaving a comment. That made my day.

Thanks for the mention, Tim. Your feedback on my stuff has been awesome. And having you comment on or edit anything I’ve written has been invaluable. You are a star on this site, my friend. Whenever I post anything my first thought is “let’s run this by Tim.”

:blushing:  Thank you, Brian. Your kind words and praise made my day. I very much enjoy reading your stories and editing for you, not that there is usually much to do. I'm glad my feedback has been useful and appreciated. That's reward enough for me.

:( sigh, three of the stories I've written blog reviews for have been removed from GA by the authors. Makes me feel sad. I've removed the link to the reviews, as they'll be hidden by the admin unless the stories returns.

Oh well, I guess I'll need to find new stories to promote in 2019.

Don't expect me to do any other kinds of blogging, as I haven't got much of interest to say.

Oh I don't know about that. I happen to know you have a controversial opinion on mouthwash. I'm sure you could write a few paragraphs about why you hate the stuff!

Still, I imagine you've produced more than anyone else. How you manage it, is a mystery. ;)

There are now two lists: Most Prolific Reviewers and Most Prolific Commentators. The latter is the one I was talking about back in 2017. It is now headed by Wesley and @droughtquake.

On 4/16/2017 at 5:10 PM, Timothy M. said:

No, @Lisa heads the prolific reviewers list, far ahead of me. But I'm a proud number 2.

Now number 4, and Lisa is no 3.

As for the prolific reviewers, I'm still at the head of that list? I haven't even looked at it in a while! Wait, you're number two? Shit, I better start reviewing more, err, commenting more! Can't have you catching up to me, Tim! :gikkle:

That list is now for prolific commentators. You're still ahead of me. ;)

There are even a few stories I’ve read without Commenting – more than just a guilty pleasure, more of an embarrassed don’t-know-why-I’m-still-following-this-story situation. I finally unfollowed one that I apparently read the first time it was posted, but now feel is too Nifty for comfort.

And there are several stories I started and somehow lost track of. Plus several I keep meaning to read (sorry Headstall, lomax, Mancunian, and others). Of course there are also some authors for whom I’d drop just about anything else if they posted something new (you all know who you are)!
;–)

Someday when I have extra time, I’ll go back and review some of my older favorites (did I ever review A to Z?)…
