Weekly Wrap Up (Mar. 30 - Apr. 5)

Just rolled in at 1:30 AM local time! No, I was not out drinking with Brad. Ironically I was at Brad's playing poker :P. Not high stakes poker, but the kind that a bunch of guys, all of them married but me, and I the token gay guy, get together and and have a drink and play some rounds and bs and rib each others 🎴. Needless to say I contributed my $20 for 2 games and came home with nothing :(

One guy there was telling us of how he is starting an online business auctioneering things, and he was trying to come up with an eye grabbing, attention grabbing, name that would stick in your head for a while. After we got through the rude and crude names, it was an interesting brain stoming at a poker game, where probably 5 of the 8 were a wee bit intoxicated and me, I was stone cold sober!

That got me to thinking on the way home, how I could relate something from the game to our weekly wrap up :) So here it goes. What stories title do you think grabbed your attention most here at GA? I will take out my story, "Why is your underwear at the bottom of the pool?" out of contention of voting :gikkle: I just wanted to give you an idea of the title that maybe stuck out the most to you. It doesn't have to be brash or bizarre, maybe your are a romantic and something with love in the title attracted you. I'm curious what your thoughts are

Okay, I will start it off. @Dodger's "Cockney Canuck" always and still does draw my attention. I know of a few others, but I do want to take them away from others coming up with them :D.

What do you all think about me moving onto the Weekly Wrap Up? I see all 7 of you in the audience with your hands up. 🖕 Oh, that wasn't your hand, that was only your middle finger :o How rude :,(

Monday, being the last day of March, Cia had a great interview with the CSR featured author of the month. Check it out:

Tuesday, with a bit of a nip in the air, Myr went Deep Diving:

Thursday, Valkyrie gave us ample time to consider your Comicality tribute stories to celebrate not only the first hosted author on site, but what would have been his birthday:

On Friday, Valkyrie came back to the show with an all new Prompts Friday in celebration of NaPoWriMo:

For the Words of the Day, I was so excited I might actually get all 7. Then Saturday came :(

Try strip poker next time! :gikkle:

As for the favorite titles, here are my choices:

1. Finding Home series; Halos and Heroes by @JJQuinn. I, generally, like JJ's titles, they are very poetic.

2. Almost all stories by @Ronyx but I'll highlight Brittle as a Bird. Many of his titles are symbolic and I like them very much.

3. @Mrsgnomie, I like her playing with the words. Tied up in Knotts is my favorite!

4. @CasualWanderer82 has great titles: Kingdom of Men, Wicked Games...

One little remark. I was never drawn so much to the story by its title as by description given by author (and Reviews). I've missed some great stories because of some, not so good, descriptions. So, dear authors, take your time when you make a story description, it can be very (un)helpful to readers!

Thanks @Cane23. I am the same way. Descriptions are important. Theyre just difficult to write, but I think it helps readers decide if things are up their alley. A lot of what's on my TBR pile is good descriptions and or titles that catch my attention.
