As for Max? I like that he’s a teenager, because while he is sure to miss his parents, not being able to walk is likely to be more of an ordeal for a teen than a child. I could see Don and Louis being more permissive and coddling with a child as well. Regardless of the age of their foster child, they’d be kind and compassionate, but I can see them relating to a Max more on an adult level, and let the built in “grandparents”, especially Rena, fuss over Max. Then again, Robert is Max’s social worker, so that relationship could prove to be interesting. I had a thought that Louis might be permissive as well, but thinking back to how he handled the same situation with Don, I’m rethinking that hypothesis a bit. 1 2 1

Posting the whole thing as a single ‘chapter’ has its advantages, but it’s much more difficult to read in a browser than separate chapters. ;–)

We know there will be definitely be an end at some point. Besides, anticipating and guessing/conjecturing (I’m sure that’s not a proper form of the word, but I’m okay with that ) what comes next is half the fun of reading a story. Also, it takes a week for wild and crazy theories to reach their full flight of fancy. 2 2

It’s a normal thing to put fresh sheets on a guest bed, but I also saw it as evidence of Louis’ caring, thoughtful, and inherent considerate nature.
