Popular Post kbois Posted February 1, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2022 It's been one of those days. Younger son got pulled over for speeding. Apparently his license had been suspended for not paying a ticket he got a while ago. Luckily they didn't impound the car. They took his license and let him drive home. Go figure. Of course he gets pissed off. Wakes up my husband, they get into an argument. Come to find out the whole reason he was out in the first place was because he wanted to get tested for STDs. Idiot went and had unprotected sex with some girl who of course had a skanky reputation. *sigh* Both husband and myself have drilled it into to both of our kids to always use protection! Idiot 19 year old. So far everything is negative. Still have to wait for some results. He's got a job interview for a full time position with Amazon tomorrow (cross your fingers) so hubby is going to get the unpaid ticket situation taken care of and the child will then owe us however many hundreds of $$ it costs. He's also going to have to pony up any extra surcharge on the insurance. Some life lessons are expensive. Too fucking bad. All this while I'm at work with the honky tonk HeeHaw band belting out its 199th rendition of 'Elvira' and 'Delta Dawn'. Can you say headache? I've already polished off a half pint of ice cream.... @Wayne Gray you got any more muffins? 1 3 6

Had a few medical issues that put me in ICU for a week and am now working on normal again. Hopefully I get sprung from this joint by end of the week. Wings was supposed to drop in and let you know what was up, but apparently my brain was firing better on all these weird drugs than hers was normally. Go figure. Any way, I am on the road back. i'm so glad you are okay. xoxo 3

Meanwhile, I finally bought a recurve bow and will start shooting again next week. Archery was the sport I fell in love with 10 years ago and I can't wait to get back at it! But my time would be divided between cycling and gym. So, there's that. 4
Popular Post kbois Posted February 6, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 6, 2022 Well good news in the youngest son department. He landed a full time job at Amazon. Let's hope he can keep it and it leads to a bit more independence from Mom and Dad. 🤞 Hope everyone is doing okay, still been pretty quiet in here. 1 6

LOL Floor police are not due to stop by until next week, so you'll be just fine. If the dust bunny is smaller than the largest dog then you don't have to worry about it. 5
kbois Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 Okay peeps. Need a little help. Is anyone familiar with Vancouver? I'm starting to look at Airbnb's for our anniversary trip and just need to know a good area to stay. I think I've got it narrowed down, to one near Strathcona Park, and the other is downtown, not to far from the cruise port, but more expensive. Thanks! 3

No idea how much this one is, because the site doesn’t say. Is that normal? It’s in a great location (right near Granville Island) in False Creek. I’ve got myself dreaming about this one… https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/46760653?source_impression_id=p3_1644278587_89GlsXna10DF%2BV1k My brother lived downtown in the 90s, but I don’t remember where. I just remember Burrard Street and Robson Street as good places to look around. Oh, and Granville Island, too. Edit: My brother sent me a photo of the bees out and about from the hive in their backyard - yes, my SiL is a beekeeper - so that means the weather has been quite nice and mild as of late. That is sooooo cool! A little out of my price range though☹. The one I'm leaning toward is close to Burrard and Robson, so I think I'll just go ahead and book it. Free cancelation until August so.... Thanks Reader! 4

Popular Post kbois Posted February 11, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 11, 2022 It's been a busy week, and long. They're shaking things up again at work. Our current regional manager is going back up north and the national manager (who used to be our regional) will be taking over Florida again. He's been here for two days and whenever he's in town, it's always extra work, and a boatload of paperwork. My older son had an anxiety attack and ended up in the ER Wednesday night. There's nothing more frustrating than being 1000 miles away and feeling helpless. Thankfully he is fine. So I am looking forward to Sunday, my one day off. Hope things get better for you! 6 1 1

Popular Post Wayne Gray Posted February 11, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 11, 2022 Hello, folks! Happy Friday! @mollyhousemouse, commit to having a great weekend, and make it happen! @kbois, hurry up and relax on your one day off! I hope your boy is doing well. @Reader1810, stay warm! BRRR! 🥶 After work today I'm reading through all of the chapters (working on chapter seven now) I've written so far for The Hazards of Love. I'm at the point where I need to go back and make sure the past meshes with what I have planned for the characters in the story, and I'm updating the previous stuff too. This is the HUGE advantage to waiting to finish a work before uploading any part of it. It's weirdly warm and sunny here in Humboldt County, California. It was 72F yesterday, and we grilled our dinner out in the side-yard. Crazy! 6
