I'm going to make banana bread today using the recipe tim shared. I'm tweaking it just a tad and adding walnuts.  But first I'm soaking the walnuts in Fireball 🔥... I'll let you know how it turns out!

So let's just go ahead and add this to the success column. 

The fireball softened the walnuts and I didn't add any extra cinnamon, but the taste is definitely there.  It's a lot denser than the regular recipe and doesn't rise very much, but it tastes amazing!

So yeah, my family and I went on a roadtrip to visit a park outside the city. It ended up in a literal road trip. Even it was just really a couple of hours away, it seems that everyone is too excited to go outside again. It's like every family in the city had the same plans as we did and we ended up being more than 10 hours on the road.

My butt is in royal pain! The traffic was just awful as if there was no pandemic at all. But oh well, we are just as guilty. I can't wait to have a proper vacation after this pandemic.

Today was nice. We went to the county fair. Then remembered why we don't go to the county fair...lol.  I grew up going to one of the top 10 fairs in the country. Took all day. We got through this one in an hour and a half. Not really much to see or do unless you like fried food or carnival rides, which I don't. 

It was nice to be outside though. My flip flop tan lines are back, they were starting to fade!! We stopped at the Red Barn on the way home. It’s a nice indoor/outdoor flea market. 

I also talked to my mom. That was hard. I talked to my brother too, finally had a decent conversation with him. 

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

@chris191070 I truly hope you get some relief soon.

Just got back from the outside world, too. But I didn't get any tan lines. Was stuck inside on the road 90% of the time. 😫

If my butt could get tan lines from sitting all day, it would be golden brown and crispy like fried chicken. 🤪

Good evening, rick. That’s quite the eventful day you had. As for me, I just finished a light dinner of triscuit crackers with cheddar cheese. Now, I’m feeling the need for some hot chocolate as the milk I had with dinner has left me chilled. 

I’m off to do that now, so have yourself a lovely night cuddling by the fire.

I'm not a huge football fan, most because we don't have cable so if we can't live stream it...we don't watch. I do follow the scores online. So today.....TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL WITH TOM FRICKIN BRADY! WOOOOHOOOO!! And...they're at their home field..😍😃😀😁🙂

i just had to rip out about 20 minutes of needlework because the sugar cube in my design was really crooked

Talking to my mom....it made me cry, but it made me smile too. Talking to her brings back memories...those make me smile, even if she doesn't remember. 🙂

Second, the weather had been really mild - for January - lately, so going for a walk outside continues to be a very pleasant experience.
