Garbage soup to use up those leftovers.

https://commandcooking.com/recipe/garbage-soup

We're gonna have soup but not that one. Thanks, though. We have some chicken in the fridge, and we'll add grated carrot and spinach to Walmart's low salt chicken noodle soup mix. Which is surprisingly good. We'll add a homemade whole wheat roll and that'll do it.

We get done on 19th.  I take immunosuppressants so it’s kind of obligatory for me.  Although specialist now thinks I “maybe” having a toxic reaction 😱”let’s review in January… “ meanwhile do I want to inject myself with something which could be causing liver inflammation?!

I had my flu and covid on the 1st October. And because of my status, I got the 1st dose of the Shingles vaccine on the 8th October.

You're smart to do the shingles vax. I heard too many horror stories from people I know who got shingles that I took care of it back in 2021.

I wasn’t offered the vaccine even though it’s recommended in USA for those on the treatment I was on.  Then it hit. 150 spots on right leg. Pain was unbearable.   Two months off work.  Urgh.

Morning walk done. On the way to make lentil bread and an apple, plum, cherry crisp for dessert tonight (and the next few nights).  I slept but feel so tired. I think dinner will be porridge and a slice of buttery toast with a good strong cup of tea. That's a good thing for Saturday night, i think.

Hope you all have a good and an excellent weekend.

Tuesday-- I sent a request thru the pharmacy app to refill MIL's cat's medication.

Wednesday-- got a message they were reaching out to the vet to update her prescription as she had no refills.

Thursday night -- MIL overheard me telling hubby that I have to call the vet in the morning because the meds are still pending approval from the vet.

And so the drama begins.

Friday morning-- I told her I would call the vet again when the office opened. Meanwhile she's flipping through her address book for the vets #. I called the vet when I got to work and had to leave a message. Got home... she said called and couldn't get a live person and she left a message (how understandable the message was is anyone's guess)

Today-- MIL is now convinced the cat will die if she doesnt have her meds. I told her she would be fine, she just might be more hungry (its a thyroid thing). Nope... cat is on death's door.  I went to my pool exercise class and when I got home what shocking news does she have? She called some vet and he told her the cat would be fine for a few days without her meds and might be more hungry than usual.

SIGH.

If you're going to self induce a headache, at least use many shots of Peanut Butter Whiskey as your weapon of choice rather than a wall. 🤣 It's the weekend so you wouldn't be rolling into work with a hangover. I know you don't drink anymore, but still...

My heart really does go out to you.

Just finished my prompt genre task - “arcane punk fantasy”, with added horror!  Now back to a love affair in Franco’s Spain.  How some of you are able to produce volumes is beyond me!

Hope all goes well xxxx

So.... on my way to work yesterday I noticed a new message on the big overhead thing they usually use to let you know if there's traffic or construction ahead. It said:

WATCH OUT FOR DEER

25% OF ALL DEER CRASHES HAPPEN IN NOVEMBER

I've been driving this route for the past two weeks and my first thought when I saw it was... huh, they could've told us at the beginning of the month instead of waiting until it was almost over.

Tomorrow I have to brave the chaos that is my MIL's cellar and try and find my air fryer. Her oven died.... and guess who does all the cooking?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend y'all!

The message board lady was on vacation and nobody could figure out how to post a message on the sign, so that was her first task when she returned.  Shoot, I have to watch out for deer when I go out my back door lol.  We've got a herd of them in my neighborhood. I took the trash out late the other night and when I turned around, I saw shadows in the yard and heard a big snort. It was the buck warning me to stay away. They are beautiful creatures, but they can do so much damage.

If you're doing all of the cooking, order a new stove, because it'll be 6 months before her repairman can get there to fix it. She owes you for all of that drama with the cat's medication.

Hope you have a good rest of the weekend too!

Ive seen a few deer since I've been back and apparently I've traded gators for bears. Haven't come across one yet though.

Shouldn't or can't eat a lot of chocolate (like i shouldn't) but want some (like me), then try these... wow, they are very nice, just a lil hit of chocolate. Perfect.

Chocolate rice cakes are great when you just want a few bites. The caramel ones are good too.

I successfully brought my MIL to the appliance store to get a new stove. I also convinced her to spend an extra $100 for the model with a steam cleaning feature instead of self-cleaning and a convection setting too... that'll be good when I want to air fry a bunch of stuff at once. Hubby did find my regular air fryer so that'll get used too.

Have a good day everyone!

Personally, I prefer the salt n’ vinegar ones, but the chocolate ones are definitely nice, too. 👍🏻👍🏻

Choc rice cakes are pretty tasty.  I've had them with peanut butter spread on them and that's pretty tasty as well.

I have both in the cupboard, so I’m going to try this right now. Because, as the saying goes “no time like the present”!

I think that the little "mouse" should be tasked with replacing those. LOL

However, if you were speaking literally, then a good house cat is in order.

If you need assistance with the latter, both @chris191070 and I are available for consultations.😁
