Made myself a David's Tea, Forever Nuts, with a little maple syrup and a splash of almond milk,

This is actually my favourite David’s Tea, though it never occurred to me use maple syrup as the sweetener. I’m going to have to try that with my next cuppa. Thanks for the idea, tim. 😊

i like that one and the Vanilla Cappuccino tea. It's nice if you fancy a coffee or a treat but don't want to drink a 'real' coffee. They both smell and taste great.  They recommend the Vanilla Cap to use iced, but i've not tried it. I think i will though since we don't drink coffee much and never buy it now.

It is Monday, It's windy, chilly and raining here.  i walked to the store today, something i've not done alone for a very long time. i survived it, however. LOL.  Michael will be pleased i did not die.

Today is also World Sandwich Day, something we very rarely have anymore but that i do love when i can.

I guess the closest thing we have to a sandwich is on homemade burgers on Friday.  Which reminds me tomorrow i need to make some hamburger buns.

Hope everyone's Monday is good. Take care xoxo

OK, I have a couple stupid questions for you.

Today I received an Amazon gift catalog in the mail.

1) Why would an online shopping service send catalogs via snail mail?

2) What help is a bunch of pictures with no description, specs or prices?

3) WTF IS A CORDLESS JUMP ROPE???

1. Email offers usually get ignored, whereas the physical content is meant to grab your attention more directly.

2. It isn't really a catalog in the traditional sense; it's not intended to "close the sale". It's meant to stoke curiosity, like, "Ooh, that looks neat. I think I'll scan the QR code and check it out online!"

3. A cordless jump rope has two handles with a weighted ball on the end of each string. (About six inches long.) It’s supposed to be more practical than a standard jump rope, as it doesn't require as much room to swing, and there's no tripping hazard.

I was curious so I googled this. Oddly several of the options that came up did not appear to be cordless. The ones with the balls - again, attached with short cords that undoubtedly will swing - had me instantly thinking of nunchucks and thinking how easy it would be for one to whack their hands and/or wrists with said balls.

Maybe it’s just me, but literally just jumping up and down seems safer…

Yeah, it's definitely a misnomer. They're partially cordless, not entirely cordless. :gikkle:

I think they can also be used for training to jump rope.  I tried jump roping last year and apparently it's more complicated than I remember.

You sound like you were one of the millions of victims of the 1960's Clackers toy like I was.

The tripping hazard is real.

Growing up, I had friends who could Double Dutch and chew gum at the same time. Me? Not so much.

I have been insanely busy. Juggling multiple work. Revising one of my projects here into a potential book deal. Still waiting for their reply.

Was thinking of resuscitating one of my side projects. But I don't know which. Lmao. I've been out of touch here for a few millennia.

Same to you! Although it’s now getting dark here.  I’ve started work on a new story. First longer one with multiple chapters.  Let’s see how it goes….

Good luck with the story. Remember, a story will be as long as it needs to be. Don't force trying to make it longer or shorter. Just write it.

Happy Thursday. Until now after you revealed this I think Chuck Mangione might have been the only person to know it was saxophone day (Yes I know he didn't specifically play that)

Thanks.  I think you are right.  I’m doing a storyboard and seeing how it goes.  It’s about a love story in Spain as Franco and his regime are beginning to die. Lots of research needed to get historical details as authentic as possible.
