Popular Post Starrynight22 Posted June 2 Popular Post Posted June 2 Hello all. Popping in for proof of life. homemade ketchup sounds good. I make fridge pickles in the summer, because canning scares me. But this year something ate all my cucumber seedlings. The zucchini survived and are thriving though! I went to a conference in Baltimore a couple weeks ago and it was Not fun. Everywhere seemed filthy and unsafe. Glad to be home. 6

I like fridge pickles too and pickled red onion. So good. Nothing really likes zucchini, so i'm not surprised it's still there. LOL... well i'm not a fan of it. Mikiesboy Posted June 2 Author Posted June 2 Happy Tuesday. It looks like it's going to be a nice day. Tomorrow we begin a mini heat wave. Hopefully, it only lasts the promised 3 days. My Husband said we are going out for dinner tonight. I'm good with that and grateful because 2 semi-special diets takes a lot of cooking because we don't eat much salt and zero processed food and no pizza either (that's because of me) so He knows I need a little break now and again. So Vietnamese food, here we come! All of that to say, we need to get some cool food for the next few days. So, a visit to the store is necessary and an appointment for a haircut is needed as well. Plus dinner. I hope everyone has a nice day. I have been doing a lot of writing and editing and I hope to have something in posting condition soonish. Have a super day, everyone!! “True compassion means not only feeling another's pain but also being moved to help relieve it. ” —Daniel Goleman (born 1946) psychologist and science journalist 5

Wayne Gray Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I've already shared this with a few, but... this video is so sweet. And the song is great. About 2/3 of the way in, it shifts from a couple of guys being goofy with each other to... well, just watch. It made me tear up a little. And not in a bad way. 4
Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted June 3 Author Popular Post Posted June 3 Happy Wednesday (day one of hotness). It's gonna be salady for the next few days. Today, after walking my part-time pup, i will be bringing him home for a sleep-over as his mom is visiting and can't bring him. He will be returned Thursday afternoon. Time to make some food and do a few things around here. Have a good one. “Compassion for others begins with kindness to ourselves.” —Pema Chödrön (born 1936) Author 7

I've been in such a slump for the past 2 years. I started 2 stories, stalled, then started a 3rd. I think the 3rd time is a charm though because I just finished up chapter 17 and have a pretty clear vision of how I want the rest of it to go. Its been a long road, but I think I'm close to the end. Good luck with your prologue! Have a good day everyone! 7

Gary L Posted June 5 Posted June 5 It’s been rainy. Drizzily to be exact. Rather rare here. In fact there is no complete verb/noun/adjective for drizzle in Spanish except in a roundabout way. Normally, if it rains here it is RAINING!! Yesterday 35°c in mountains for lunch, today 17°. 5

Honestly, not thrilled, though i do love him. Well, i'm sure i'll manage. It's not so hot today, and it's windy, but it's very humid. Gonna be nachos and iced tea for dinner tonight.
