I finished the chapter, and enjoyed the conversation with Max. Perhaps Sofia will develop more as a character later, but so far she is just playing the part of victim. Since she, Addy (the Connor clone), and cute Emma are the principle reason for Sam to come home, I feel like Sofia should be meeting Sam halfway. I don't dislike Max because he doesn't want to settle down. Max can't change how he feels anymore than Sam can just stop being in love with him. Hopefully Ben will be a better match for him.

He's trapped in the moment. It's harder to see the big picture.

At one time we had three movie theaters in our small town. For a number of years now we have none.

I'm among those who see Bryan needs to learn to control his emotional outbursts... At least while in school. ๐

Thatโs quite a belt buckle! ๐

Nong, I'm older and don't have your amazing memory. Plus I don't keep a log of all your sins, I'd never get any rest.

Despite Mitch being older, Peter is more mature.

Tyler needs to realize Alex is a douche and flush him out of his life.

Name one time I blamed someone else!

Blaming others? Typical.

You're right he doesn't. They all have their own damage to work through. They all loved a complicated man in their own ways. I'm always OK with people not liking my characters for whatever their personal reasons may be because writing is an art and art should always evoke an emotional response of some kind. Whatever it is for that person is cool. I know in my mind how the story proceeds and ends and why it makes sense in my head-- I know each part start to finish, but it's a Testament to how we are as individuals that we can all read the same thing and interpret in different ways. Did you actually finish reading the chapter? That portion with Sofia was minute. You might be best off waiting till the entire story is posted to read it. Not that you won't see how it unfolds as it goes along, but I know many people, myself included, like to read things in one sitting. I can't stand to read series as they go year by year because I can't see forward that far and it makes me go whhhhhhy! Lol and then I read all the books together I say, Ah HAH!!! THAT'S what the author was building to the entire time. Annnnd sometimes I still don't like it hehe. But it might help you with Halos if you opt to continue reading. A few of my readers on the other site I used to publish on told me they prefer to read it in one shot because my stories are long as is this one. It's not even a third in.

Just a Trial Period, or More?

Of course young Rocky dear would get a better insight into the inner workings of his potential new potentate, if they were to live the week in Manny's house. Nothing will get the guy out of the massive mansion, with indoor/outdoor pool, a garage full of fantastic cars, or whatever he'll experience... but I trust in his good core! -
Thanks for reading, VBlew. The notes about notes geisha are pretty important to understand their songs

โThey say that sometimes youโve just gotta take a chance or two, donโt ya know?โ And that applies to life and to love, as thirteen year old friends, Christian Miller and Jeremy Hutton are about to discover.

'Awww . . . c'mon, Chris,' urged Jeremy Hutton, my best friend for as long as I could remember. โDonโt be such a wuss!โ We had been sitting within the school playground beneath one of the old pine trees along the bottom edge of the oval while having lunch on a Friday and discussing plans for our weekend. As usual his plans were far more grand than mine, so I just knew that whatever we got up to wasn't going to be tame. 'They say that sometimes you've just gotta take a chance or two, do
