“Hey Jack, I mean what was it again?” Brooks said

“It’s TJ, which is short for Tristan James. This is JC my boyfriend. JC these are my two friends from San Francisco Miles and Brooks.” I said

“Nice to meet you JC.” Brooks replied

“ummm nnnniiicccee to meet you” Miles stuttered out

“I take it you are a fan of mine?” JC asked and Brooks laughed

“He is so obsessed with you, if I didn’t know any better I’d swear he’s dating you.” Brooks said and Miles blushed

“Miles its ok, I put my pants on the same way you do, two legs at once.” JC said and laughed. I said hello to Brooks brothers Nathan and Kaden.

“Ok let’s everyone relax and I’ll start lunch” Kevin said

“Hey Jack, I mean TJ, did you hear Rusty got detained? Something about spying or some crap.” Brooks said

“No I hadn’t heard that, is he ok?

“I haven’t heard from him at all and supposedly his brother was arrested too.”

“I can’t believe he would do something like that.” I said and turned my phone recorder on in case something interesting was said.

“You know it’s really strange, Rusty has an inheritance and he is so careful with it and apparently Henry blew through his and was hurting for money. He was always asking Rusty for money as his parents wouldn’t give him any.” Brooks was a wealth of information

“This is all very interesting, I hope they are both ok.” I was getting good at playing dumb

“Me too, I miss Rusty.” Miles said

“Well enough about them, how have you been Nathan and Kaden? It’s been a while since I’ve seen you.” I asked

“Well I am going to UCLA next year got in my early admission application.” Nathan said

“I’m going to Dartmouth” Kaden said

“WOW, Dartmouth and UCLA? I guess you guys got all the brains even though Brooks is older” I said laughing

“Hey I chose not to go to school, mister Julliard drop out” Brooks said sticking out his tongue. At that moment Tristan walked over

“You makin fun my brudder” he said with a scowl

“Your brother? What?” Brooks said

“T2 is my brudder and no one make fun of him” Tristan said seriously

“T2? Now I’m lost” Brooks replied at that point Tristan knocked over Brooks cup of water soaking his pants.

“Tristan! We don’t do that. You are going for a time out” Jeff said sternly. At that moment Tristan broke into tears and ran over to me

“Hey little man, we were just joking Brooks and I. It was nothing serious but you shouldn’t have spilled his water. Come on I’ll take you to your time out chair” I said picking him up and carrying him inside.

“I’ve never seen him be so protective before.” Kevin said as I was taking Tristan inside. I put him in his chair and took the time the few minutes alone to send the audio file of what Brooks said over to Jack. Maybe it would help with the investigation.

“TJ, Tristan come back out and let’s eat.” Kevin said. We went outside and went to sit down but Tristan was mad that JC was in the seat next to me and he stood there giving JC dirty looks. Eventually he went and sat next to Jeff and Kevin but kept shooting daggers at JC, I was a bit surprised at everything.

“TJ, I will be going to New York with you and JC.” Kevin said

“Why? I like you and all but why?” I asked

“Jack asked me to be there for you in case you have issues with your mother.”

“He and his mudder be ok. She not ugly any more” Tristan said

“Your mom never was ugly, what is he talking about?” JC asked

“He overhead a session I had with Kevin and I said things weren’t pretty.”

“Oh I see, I hope he’s right. So Miles and Brooks, how long have you been together.” JC asked

“Almost 10 years, since high school” Miles said

“Yeah 10 years of heaven.” Brooks said sweetly

“I think I just threw up in my mouth” Kaden said

“Mom and Dad moved them to the basement and then out to the pool house. They got tired of hearing everything.” Kaden said and everyone laughed

“When they moved out Mom wanted to throw a party” Nathan said laughing

“You two are so cruel.” Brooks said

“Mom and Dad are going to be shocked you are the person Cody knows.” Nathan said

“Yeah they want everyone to come over for dinner soon.” Christian said

We sat around and talked about different thing and everyone got to know each other

Meanwhile in New York (Jack’s perspective)

“Hey Emily, how are you?”

“Doing better, taking it one day at time.” She replied

“I am so sorry about your mother. I will have things to run by you for the funeral.”

“I’m so sorry she put you through all the crap. I should have known she was acting strange.” She said shaking her head

“Hey, we all missed signs things were going on. Between Brayden deceiving everyone and all” I said avoiding the elephant in the room

“If Tristan were still here, he wouldn’t believe it. It makes no sense with everything. Tristan took care of everyone; he definitely was Ron and Tony’s son.” She said wiping tears

“He was a very good man Emily. I have asked TJ to come see you but he’s hesitant; as last time things didn’t go so well.”

“You know, he always such a strong kid. Tristan and I made his life so terrible moving around so much, taking him away from JC and not maintaining contact. I just feel so bad and I know he’s mad at his father and blames him for all the secrecy. You know how much he struggled with it.”

“You know he saved your life right? Carving up the company and people dropping dead made him question everything. It was the conversation with Kellan and Jordan that led him to him giving the doctor’s some direction to take your care.”

“I love him with all my heart Jack. I just don’t think he will talk to me; this might sound strange but I when I was in my coma I talked to my husband and some little boy named Tristan.”

“A little boy? Is that who you were asking for?”

“Yes his name was Tristan and he came to see me. He told me I was ugly and had an ugly heart because I wouldn’t take care of my boy.”

Coma Sequence:

“Hello Emily”

“OH MY GOD! Tristan!” I said tears flowing

“It is so good to see you babe; come sit we must talk. I am very worried that we messed things up with TJ keeping so many secrets. He doesn’t know who to trust and he’s on a path to find things out and we must truthful with him.”

“I do love him you know.”

“Me too but I think we should have handled things differently. He is so angry with me and I am not sure I he will ever forgive me.” Tristan says and disappears

All of a sudden a little boy appears:

“Are you T2’s mudder?” he says

“Who is T2?”

“Tristian too.”

“I have a son named Tristan”

“So you his mudder. I here to help my brudder.”

“Who are you?”

“My name is Tristan and I his brudder.”

“Ok Tristan” I said skeptically

“You no believe me. Yous son is special and kind to me and utters.”

“I know my boy is a giving boy”

“He saved the life of 10 year old boy when he was struggling. If he wasn’t there Cody not make it and would have been kidnapped.”

“Who’s Cody?”

“My friend”

“Ok, how can I fix my relationship?”

“Yous no lie to my brudder anymore. Tell him things regain his trust and then you not be ugly anymore.”

“So talk and truthful”

“Yes T2 mudder, be truthful and T2 will wuv you.”

“How do I know he will see me again?”

“T2 smart boy and he will come hear you out. Must not be ugly and more.”

He was gone as fast as he appeared. He gave me a lot to think about; like who is this Tristan

Present Day New York

“Kevin will you come with me? I don’t want to be alone.” I said

“Sure thing buddy, but do you mind if I bring Tristan or do you think JC can watch him?”

“Why don’t we bring him, he always makes me smile.” We left for the hospital. I was nervous as I didn’t want to fight but we needed to be civil. We arrived at the hospital and I stood outside my feet wouldn’t move.

“Come on TJ, it will be ok” Kevin said

“What if she’s still angry? You said she seemed to be all there.” I said

“Brudder, it be ok. I here and she not ugly any more” Tristan said and grasped my hand. He is such a smart little man. We walked into the hospital and followed Jack’s instructions on how to get to the room. Kevin walked in and I was holding Tristan.

“Hey Emily” Kevin said

“Hey Mom” I said

“Hi T2 mudder” as soon as those words left Tristan’s mouth mom fainted. The doctor’s came rushing in.

“It appears Mrs. Michaels has fainted. It may have been a bit too much for her.” The doctor said checking her vitals. Mom woke back up after a few minutes.

“Tristan?” She said looking at him and he smiled

“Mrs. Michaels are you ok?” The doctor asked

“Well I am not sure, when I was in my coma, I think I met this little boy in my sons arms and he told not to be ugly anymore and build trust with T2.”

“That sounds like Tristan, but he’s never met you.” Kevin said

“Yeah I know that’s what makes it so weird.”

“Tristan, have you met my mother before” I asked him

“Yes, she was talking to man who look like you and I made him disappear so I talk” Tristan said

“This is just getting too weird” I said and sat down

“TJ, darling, I love you so much” Mom said and started to cry.

“I kept so many secrets from you over the years and it has to stop. I had so many secrets it drove you away. It tore me up to watch your brothers fall apart when you left and I had no idea how to find you and make it right. Tristan told me how you saved Cody when you were down on your luck.” Mom said

“I didn’t save Cody, Christian did” I said

“No brudder you did. Bad man was watching and when you took him for foods the bad man couldn’t risk being seen.” Tristan said

“Son, where did you learn this.” Kevin said

“I just do daddy.” He said

“Wow do you have visions?” I asked curiously

“Yes I can sees, I gots eyes” he said, typical Tristan

“We will talk later; you need to visit with your mother. “ Kevin said

“I am going to meet Jack and Tracy and have lunch. I’ll have something sent over for you.” Kevin said and took Tristan and left

“Mom this is just too weird” I said

“Honey I was talking to your father before he appeared. We talked about how we both did you wrong and needed to fix it. Your father is worried you’ll never forgive him” she said

“Mom you guys lied to me over and over. Losing JC when I was little was my first trauma and I just blocked things out, it was how I coped. You and dad didn’t take into consideration what it was doing to me. Last time you promised no secrets and then there were more.”

“Trust that is what Tristan said I had to earn back and I plan to do so. You are my son and your father and I thought we were doing the right things for you. I’ll admit I was one of those helicopter parents. Somehow I missed my baby was raped; I should have known something was wrong. You are my son, my first born and I’ve treated you terribly.”

“Mom it is going to take some time before we are on even ground. I just need the lies to stop.”

“In the spirit of honesty, there is something I need to tell you”
