Falls Creek Lessons - Links - 191. Chapter 191

[Chris Everington]

This has to be the first time that Paul and I have had such a different opinion of someone. I can’t see how Paul can dislike Dan so much. Even after Paul’s made accusations directly to his face, Dan still hasn’t taken offense.

Am I strong enough to insist that I want to see Dan again, once we’re in Melbourne? Paul may take it the wrong way, but I really think Dan is on the level. While Paul’s been slow to trust for as long as I’ve known him, this is the first time that I’ve seen him quick to hate.

Is hate the right word? Paul’s feelings have gone beyond a simple dislike. There is something going on here that I don’t understand, and that’s scary. Do I need to get Paul to go see his counsellor again? Paul thinks he’s cured, at least as far as he thinks he needs to be, but his behaviour this week has been abnormal. My problem is, does he love me enough to trust me on this? Will he go to the counsellor, just because I ask him to?
