Falls Creek Lessons - Links - 80. Chapter 80

[Dan Cronin]

I’m glad he’s here. I have no ideas whether or not Greg tends to be punctual, so the fact that he’s late isn’t a major concern. I had already decided that I was willing to wait up to an hour for him. After all, he may have got lost trying to find his way back here, plus he’s still a beginner. If he wasn’t here in an hour, I was going to check with the ski patrol guys, to see if there had been any accidents.

No, my biggest worry was that he simply wouldn’t bother showing up. I had a great time last night, and I think Greg did too. But did I make enough of a good impression yesterday that he would make the effort to catch up with me again?

Now that he’s here, that worry can be laid to rest. It’s still early days, but I have a chance for a new friend. The mere fact that he’s here means a lot to me. Now all I have to do is to make sure I don’t stuff it up.

My next problem is finding a way of suggesting that we keep in touch. The problem after that is working out how and when to tell him I’m gay.

One step at a time, Dan.

Don’t rush ahead. The first thing is to make sure I don’t piss Greg off today.
