Falls Creek Lessons - Links - 181. Chapter 181

[Dan Cronin]

I know Paul doesn’t trust me, but given what I think he’s been through, I wouldn’t expect him to. Alexander lost all ability to trust anyone by the end.

Chris and Paul make a great couple, and they are so different to the other gay couples I’ve known. They don’t flaunt what they are, but are just two guys who happen to be a matched pair.

I’m hoping Paul will put his animosity aside enough for me to be able to see them again when we’re all in Melbourne. With them, I feel I can just relax. When I’m at home, or at work with Dad, I have to pretend to be the straight son. When I’m out at a gay nightclub, I have to pretend to be part of the crowd. It’s not often that I can just be me.

Spending enough time with them may also help convince me that I’ll eventually find someone to partner – if they can do it, why can’t I?
