Falls Creek Lessons - Links - 3. Chapter 3

[Diane Rider]

I have a lot of hope for this weekend. Beside another weekend skiing – the sport my darling boyfriend had introduced me to, I have secret hopes for my little brother.

Rob keeps it well hidden, but I know he’s upset that I’d invited Greg to join us for this trip. However, once I had learnt that Chris and his boyfriend Paul were going to be joining us, it was an opportunity too good to miss.

I have my suspicions that my brother is gay. I had found a number of files on the subject on the computer at home before I left home. As I knew I hadn’t left them there, and I couldn’t think why my parents would be looking these things up, especially my dad, who hates computers, that left Greg.

I’ve been watching him ever since. I really don’t know if he’s gay, as he certainly isn’t showing any obvious signs, but he doesn’t show much interest in girls. Or rather, he shows lots of interest, but doesn’t take it any further. Mum just thinks he’s shy, which he is, but I’m not sure.

So, here is a chance for Greg to spend a weekend with a gay couple. I’ve known Chris for almost as long as I’ve known Rob. After working with the guy for a couple of years now, I can tell he’s one of the good guys. I’ve only met Paul a couple of times, but when you add the fact that Chris obviously loves the guy, that’s a good recommendation that he can be trusted as well.

If Greg is gay, maybe this will make him open up. If he’s not gay, then it’s good for him to see that gays are just normal guys too.

As we pulled up in front of my brother, I decided to keep a low profile. Let’s just see how they get along first. I have deliberately not told Greg that Chris and Paul are gay. Knowing the two of them, they won’t make it obvious, and won’t make an issue of it. Greg will have a chance to get to know them first before he finds out.
