In all my enthusiasm, I didn’t think about that. Like practically everyone who lives on the mountain, Kale has heard the rumours about me. He’s probably put two and two together and come up with five. I wouldn’t be surprised if a new rumour started circulating tomorrow, saying that I’ve got a boyfriend staying with me.
It won’t be a problem, unless Greg hears it. I couldn’t care less what they think, but I don’t want Greg to be falsely accused of being gay. Also, if he learns about the rumour, he’ll find out about me. I want to tell him, not for him to be told by someone else. I just can’t tell him yet.
