Falls Creek Lessons - Links - 8. Chapter 8

[Paul Wilson]

So this is Diane’s younger brother, Greg. A nice enough guy, at least at first glance. Certainly easy on the eye. Of course, that’s not necessarily a good thing.

A lot of people would disagree, but being good looking is not always enjoyable. I know I’m attractive – enough guys, and girls, have told me that – but I’ve had problems because of it. The most common one is that I get lots of people hitting on me. Unfortunately, it usually turns out that all they can see is the outside person. They often have absolutely no interest in the inside person. When I was younger and was just after sex, I had an absolute ball. But I got jaded with that pretty quick. I wanted someone to hold, someone to be with, someone who I can just relax with. Not a shallow relationship built on appearances.

After a couple of years of finding so many people who only want me because of my looks, I started keeping my distance. It took Chris three months of chasing me before I was convinced that he wanted me, and not just what was on the outside. Since then, I’ve been so much happier.

I love that guy.
