I don’t think Greg is naturally gifted; he’s too hesitant to be that. So that means Dan is just a good teacher.

I would put that in the plus column for him, but I still don’t trust his motives. Was he doing it, just to have a chance at Greg that night? The beers as payment would make it likely, as Greg could be expected to match him, drink for drink.

Sigh.

I know Chris told me to not worry about it, and let it drop, but for some reason Dan has me concerned. I just have this feeling that something is going to happen.

For the moment, though, all we need to do is to keep encouraging Greg. He’s doing a lot better than most beginners, who wouldn’t be on this run anyway, and we don’t want him to give up because he’s being pushed a bit too hard.
