Falls Creek Lessons - Links - 82. Chapter 82

[Dan Cronin]

I hadn’t realised how much I’ve been looking forward to the week until I felt the wave of relief flood through me when I saw Greg. I must have been more tense than I realised.

It’s been such a long time since I’d made a new friend that I feel pathetic about the enthusiasm that I’m experiencing.

I’ve already told my roommates that Greg is straight, and he doesn’t know I’m gay. I made them promise not to give it away. I’ll tell him sometime soon, but I want to make sure I’ve proven myself first. Kelly made a caustic statement about getting mad if I turned Greg gay – she said he was too good looking to be lost to the dark side. I had to explain to her, for the umpteenth time, that you can’t turn anyone gay. I’m still not sure if she was saying it to annoy me, or if she honestly believed it.

Garret just shrugged. He doesn’t mind sharing a room with a gay guy, especially as he’s not there very often anyway. It’s not as if anyone would think he’s gay!

Afterwards, when Kelly wasn’t there, he said something really strange to me. He told me that I needed to get laid, but he doesn’t think he can help me. He’s too tuned into girls to be able to find me a guy.

Garret’s mind revolves around sex. I don’t think there is much else in there.
