Falls Creek Lessons - Links - 198. Chapter 198

[Garret French]

It was subtle, but Dan’s shoulders slumped when Greg stepped aside just now. From what Dan told us, Greg is just out of the closet and very nervous. He’s probably so used to not showing signs of affection that it was an automatic reaction. Dan’s told us that Greg needs time, and that he won’t be rushing into things. That’s when he asked me not to tease Greg anymore. I noticed it was a request, not an instruction, which told me how much Dan was being affected by all of this.

What Dan doesn’t seem to realise is how much starved of affection he is. He’s vulnerable to anything Greg says or does. He’s fallen so hard for Greg that he has practically no defenses against getting hurt. Kelly and I have to make sure Greg knows this; otherwise both of them could end up going through a lot of pain due to a simple misunderstanding.
