A special thanks must go to Ben for some stuff weve chatted about which got me thinking. Its late here and ive got a man who wants me in our bed just now so i'll fill the rest in tomorrow. As for taking on the trappings of the heterosexual world...marriage has long been a part of society. By putting our foot out there and sticking it into the doorway of marriage, we're helping to re-merge into 'society' as a whole. So long as we are on the outside of society, not a part of it, we are in a lot more danger. It's far easier for a society to turn on those that they view are not a part of it, and blame them for all their troubles, eventually leading to death for that group. It's a lot harder for them to do that when it's part of their own society. (Ergo why the Jewish people so heartily pursued their own nation after WWII.) Now, we could form our own 'gay' nation, and we could even see it prosper with reproduction through various modern technical means, but do we really want that? It's far easier, and safer in the long run, to merge back into society. That means society will have to change somewhat to accomodate us, and we will have to change slightly as well.
